Basically due to muppet clans folding after realising they can't hack the pace the WPTFCL is in need of a few more clans to replace the dropouts. The problem is we really need them to be ready to start playing matches on Tuesday of next week!
I know that a major negative point of our league from the point of view of many non-Wireplay clans is that they would be forced to use the Wireplay dial up.

The Wireplay clan servers (on which the matches are played) have now all been opened up to the net. If oyu are on cable or just want to stick to your favourite ISP there is nothing to stop you. We're even open to European clans now

What the league involves
========================
If your clan decides to join the league we can promise you the following things:
1 match a week played on either a Tuesday or a Thursday (the day alternates every week - if you play on a Tuesday one week you will play on a Thursday in the next week).
Matches played on custom maps as well as the standard Valve ones. Every week 2 maps are used - one Valve map and one Custom map. Next week the maps are 2forts and Canalzone2, but this is the exception rather than the rule.
All matches are played between 8 and 11pm. Most of your matches would be either at 8 or at 9 - 10pm matches are quite rare.
All matches are played with a match admin (with the rcon password to the server) present.
Why should you join? There's a prize of your own private server to the clan that wins the league outright, and several more prizes in the pipeline. The standard of competition is pretty high - SHS are a Wireplay clan and we have several clans that can give them a good run for their money, plus at least 6 clans who would not be out of place in the UKTFCL premiership (IMHO anyway).

* - this is extremely important as we are only acceptig clans that have a proven track record - we don't want any more clans that sign up and never show up for any of their matches.
