1. Frontier is all about range, it couldnt get better for snipers than this.
2. The way MoS works; Snipers with MoS > Assassins with MoS.
3. All snipers got free getaway-cards while sbs got Shadowstrike :/
4. FZ.
5. Its way too many snipers around, attack one, get attacked by 5.
6. The loss of MoA, DR and RoF.
7. Climb-points are too few and too hard to find(especially in drunk-mode).
8. Towers have no climb-points :p
9. TS-guards.
10. Hysterical guards everywhere.

One might have believe that Mythic thought;

Hm, ok, Frontier is VERY Sniper-friendly, perhaps we should let assassins keep the edge against them(See Hidden) so they dont get too many, but nah...

Instead they strengthen them by giving them MoS, free getaway-cards like Desperate Bowman and keeping FZ in its current state.

OF sucked, assassins where overpowered comparing to snipers. Now its the other way around :/ How hard can it be to balance things out?

First there was no absurd ras, then See Hidden 1500 and TS, then See Hidden 750 + Camo, then Perma-TS up to 1000 for snipers :p but it never went live, and now MoS :/ It never stops. Instead of get rid of all that crap, they keep on changing it, over and over and over....

Can you see it?

Also there's the fact that archers get free 90% swim speed with sojourner, meaning that if they hang around on a bridge etc they've got a nice escape route right next to them, guaranteed. It would be great if they could just remove all stealth related ra's and just take things back to how they were before ras at least... It's a pretty good example of mythic trying to fix something that was never really broken, and making a big mess because of that. I'd like to see MoS removed from the game as there are plenty of other things I'd like to be able to use the points for, and it does feel unbalanced as assassins cannot surprise archers anymore..

I hate to say this because ppl will prolly start doing it ;p but buy assasin guards at climb spots then they can't get inside w/o getting uncovered :p

assassins all get vanish, no? that's your getaway?

for water stuff get some alchemy potions and use them before you go near (so you don't have the reuse timer - that said I'm not sure water ones are on the same timer anyway)

You get what you pay for, if someone chooses to specialise in MoStealth, spending alot of points if going above lvl3.

But I do feel playing a scout its kinda easy mode, kinda boring now. :<

mos is bs, a stealthers ability to see/uncover another should be entirely based on the chars specced stealth level - stealth ra's have always been bs, just keep it simple imo

archers need 'toning down' across the board just for the simple fact theres just so damn many of them

But Ok I think you actually have a point in some of the things you say.
Imo, remove MoS from the game, and keep stealth at bacis level with assassin detect hidden advantage only - but ffs grant every stealther atleast 25% stealth run bonus.
Add climb-points on towers, keeps etc...or better yet, remove them altogehter and grant assassins "climb anywhere" rights.
FZ needs nerfing also, reduce damage taken while in FZ by 50% - should balance it.
About 5. there is not much to do really. Imo pretty fking lame to make a class that is fotm when you have a few playable classes already - but most ppl are very lame.

I do have a scout 3 years old char, I have played it when the class was considered "gimp", and I do admit that things are pretty fucked up atm and need balancing. But while at it, also take a look at the MoC + lifetab retards....

I agree on the point about no climb spots on towers. Assassins get vanish though. Vanish is great. It helps define the assassin's role to kill and get out alive. Your own fault if you don't have it. And vanish 1 isn't really enough. I have vanish 2 on my ns, and it's better than old sos really:) Of course I have to sacrifice other things to get it, but that shouldn't be a problem for you. It also helps with mastery of of stealth so you can get away further before they use stealth lore and come looking for you again. Agree on the part about most archers being sojourners though, it's hard to catch them in water. And zephyr:-P

I still enjoy my sb. Its fun and does ok with all the weak archers around (and there are plenty).

But then, if I have a bad day I got my hunter too ;)

also have to admit that payback is sweet... for a while. Then you start to see the big picture and feel sorry for some of the poor bastards that have absolutly NO CHANCE in certain situations. I personally would like a balanced game rather then have fotm idiots running around thinking they are fantastic with I-win buttons.

Yes, we get vanish. It's up every 15min, but when used to get away from an Archer it's not 100% sure you'll get away. It happends quite often that you popp rigth out of stealth, cuz of lag or arrows that are in the "air" when you use it.

Scouts specially with slam and FZ is just too much. I'm pretty sure those Scouts that have MoS4-5 and FZ have little trouble to agree that the combination is overpowered. Archers atm is easymode and the number of archers and specially Scouts should point to inc nerfbatt.

I use crafted pots and have np with Sojourner waterbreathing. When I solo I use snare poison, so unless it's purged I'll catch ppl anyway.

Yes, I think that with camo, TS, SL and ML10 Sojourne it was pretty balanced vs nerfed SH. Now it cannot be described other than Godmode.

Vanish is not a free get away card. It costs plenty of ra points and half the time, it doesn't work. When most of your fights are vs high mos characters, it's useless if they have any sense. It breaks if you use it whilst a bolt or arrow is incoming to you as their flight time is greater than 1 second uber stealth you get. Guards will just keep on attacking you 50% of the tme. Seems to be completely random as to whether they follow or not. TS guards will uncover you 100% of the time after vanishing. All this on top of the fact that if you are uncovered, you may as well sit down and die unless you want to burn purge. Still I don't particularly have many problems with anything else NF related. I avoid bridges and camp the 'supply routes' which is exactly how I intended to play my inf from beta :p The only thing which really pisses me off these days is FZ, but I think that is just due to the increase in archers, it means I'm seeing more FZ too. Not really an NF problem.

I happen to like the new MoS i think it is a definate improvement on what we used to have. It wasnt alot of fun seeing SB's run at me from close to clip range when i had camo down (im 50 stealth also) and some from a reasonable distance when i had camo up.

Assasins might think the new setup might is unfair, but, what it means is that the they need to become more sneaky. I think they all got way to used to being able to prey on all classes with ease. Now they have to fight for their RP like most other classes had to do in the old frontiers.

1st: Archers got farmed 4 2 YEARS because of inbalancing.

2nd: The situation didnt changed just the classes did. B4 NF, Assasins was overpopulated because they could farm Archers 2 easy. Assasins was the FOTM class, every little wanker rolled an Assasin. Now there are Archers everywhere because some OF YOU FUCKTARDS allways want the current FOTM class.

3rd: This game isnt balanceable 4 every1. Diffrent classes with diffrent abilities cant be balanced.

4th: Nobody is forcing u 2 play this game. If u dont like it because of inbalancing play something else.

depends what kind of archer you are talking about, the solo archer, or theone teaming with minstrel, or theone stealth zreging, or theone camping amg, useing 100 albs as meatshield archer.

I know that. The thing is those NPC's won't be there forever. Just wanted to point out that it isn't that hard to avoid Guards. Especially in a Keep who isn't under attack because there won't be any Guards on the Wall. Seen Infils, Shadowblades inside Hib Keeps killing Hibs who were about to leave. The new fotm Stealther Camp spots are the Docks. No Problem for them to get their Kills.

Just useless Jox whine again. :p

No assassin ever cared about balance before! they just yelled get more skill noob at any archer. Remember what goes around comes around now your all the free RP cows so live with it of fook off to wow and give us some peace!

As for tanks same thing, you all loved dark age of tankalot where casters were free rp to you, but complain now its a range game, just sit back relax mythic will swing back to melle again after awhile :)
