1 v 1 tourney

Hi,

Some of u may remember Duelarena 1 v 1 tournament in August, in general it was a success.

Duelarena 2 was planned for November, but cancelled due to a lack of admins.

I want to get some peeps together as admins, and hopefully get da2 going. If we are to do this, we will need servers, admins, and the support of the q3 community.

Yes, duelarena was run by Shill, hehe, i remember j00 t00 dude. :]

I wasn't an admin,i just idled in #duelarena for a long time.

Well if you're going to run it as Duel Arena 2, then it may be an idea to speak to Shill first before even beginning to plan anything?

Just reminding him it may be courteous to speak with Shill, as he does have the rights to the Duel Arena name, he has http://www.duelarena.co.uk registered and not least of all because it'd just be wrong to run DA2 off the back of someone elses hard work without at least speaking to them.

Not that the thought of another tournament being run for duellers isn't welcome, cos I appreciate the thought believe me (not that I duel, like EVER), but just thought I should remind him to try and do things the proper way

Oh and btw, if you do run it Makka, for gods sakes don't admit anyone to the competition entering under the name "Bob".

Trust me, more hassle than it's worth.



For those of you who don't know I was head admin for DA1 and adminned in every single round (all 18 of them) over the two days of the original competition. The entire thing was screwed up in the final when it was revealed that one of the finalists, Bob, was actually a group of very prominent UK players all playing under the same name.

And concerning the "Bob" alias, i was the guy who played "Bob" in round 2. I think i was actually the closest to beating him until the final.
