Test Version 1.90f Release Notes
New Frontiers and Siegecraft

===================================

SIEGECRAFTING

- Albion Siegecrafters can now make Arm Cushions properly without receiving the message they lack the proper skill.

- Siege engines will now salvage for roughly 70% of the wood required to make the engine.

- Specialty ammunition will now correctly be used up when fired from Palintones, Ballistas, and Trebuchets.

- The ingredients ‘Ground Caer Stone’ and ‘Ground Cave Crystal’ are now available in Midgard and Hibernia for the siege ammo recipes which require them.

- Siege ammunition will now delve the type of siege engine it can be used with.

- The Runed Demon Seal Fragments used in Siege Crafting that are found on Agramon Island can no longer be placed in a player’s personal vault.

- The recipes in Infernal Engineering are now listed correctly and will produce the proper items. This fixes a bug where five recipes were listed, but only three were intended and available.

NEW FRONTIERS NOTES

- Tower captains have been moved up to the highest internal level for every tier of the tower.

- The Realm War map supply chain for teleportation has been enabled again.

- In 1.90b and 1.90e we hinted there would be an additional method to ‘breach’ a keep. In this version we introduce this method, Siege Towers. Siege Towers are structures that can be built along the walls to allow attackers to go up and over the wall piece. Siege Towers work as follows:

When an enemy player enters the region around a keep (i.e., receives the ‘You have entered ’ system message), hookpoints along the walls and elbows will show up to indicate where a Siege Tower can be built. Enemy players can then interact with these hookpoints to build a Siege Tower.

Building a Siege Tower requires that players have the materials available. The recipes are as follows: Albion/Midgard: 10 Alloy Metal Bars and 20 Ironwood Wooden Boards, Hibernia: 10 Dolomite Metal Bars and 20 Ironwood Wooden Boards.

If you have the materials available and interact with the hookpoint, the building process begins, represented currently by a large plume of dust. The Siege Tower building process is represented by a Hit Point meter. It will begin at 0 and slowly work towards full health. Defenders can attack the building process to attempt and destroy it before it can reach full health or delay the building process. Once at full health, it will become an actual structure, complete with pathing, destroying the wall it is attached to in the process.

The completed Siege Tower can now be used to enter the keep. The Siege Tower can be destroyed by defenders through the process of repairing the wall that the Siege Tower is attached to. Attackers can keep the Siege Tower alive by repairing the Siege Tower/wall it is attached to. Attacker’s repairs will damage the keep wall and the goal is to keep the wall at zero health so that the Siege Tower can remain attached. If the wall is healed by defenders past a certain point, it will become repaired and the Siege Tower will be destroyed.

CAMELOT CLASSIC WORLD NOTES

- The Midgard and Hibernia versions of the Fine Steel Long Sword are now correctly dyable with weapon burnishes like their Albion counterparts.

Great idea sadly many months even years too late for the English Euro cluster.

By the time 1.90 patch hits we'll be probably into Nov/Dec with only 2/3 months until WAR.

yeah, i'm not much for "dhoo0o0o0o0ooooom" posts but with both warhammer and age of conan coming out fairly at the same time, will most certainly not be good for the poor sods that decided to stay on Dyvet :/

More rather awesome sounding changes. Slightly bittersweet though for reasons posted above.

The changes are certainly interesting, but I do not expect 1.90 before 2008. We might expect 1.89 by the end of the year, and 1.90 in Feb 2008.

It will arrive here, but not any time soon.

It's a shame they didn't make changes like this when we had a good population playing DAOC worldwide. It's still by far the best PvP MMORPG.

cpl shieldtanks engage up the guards, ninja in via siegetower and take down innerdoor and voila, keep taken. Sounds like excellent fun for pricks like CM.

I still prefer the old keeps in OF :(
