I usually take a few goes to get a template I like, but thought I'd post an early go to get an idea of what the new benchmark is, here goes (this is with 40 enhance resist buffs up).

It's really similar to somebody elses I seen on this board, which I had thought was really good, but please be honest with me :)

Got to be brutally honest, that is terrible. 15% body resist... you really have to be kidding. Why on earth would you include the resist buff in your template specs? The key resists need to be capped before taking any buffs into account.

On the artifact front you really should have eternal plant and ctr (if you can get it in).

Hits are too low aswell should be looking at getting them up round 240-260.

Ok I thought the resists would stack on top, obviously they don't or there's something I'm not taking into account? Why not include the resist buffs? (serious question here, not a bait...)

About EP and CTR, I really don't agree that they are "essentials". Nice if you can have it but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

This uses some of my old kit, and I only have to buy 1 item to get this template, so for me it seemed perfect. I don't see how you can have everything you have said without introducing rare and expensive items, but like I said at the begining of the post I am only starting with this template. I came here for a bit help, I never claimed to have made an "uber" template so don't get your pantys in a twist (jk) ;)

Anyway I'd appreciate if somebody would clear up if there's a particular reason why I shouldn't include my resist buffs from the enhance line in the template so I can make a new template accordingly,

The reason why you shouldnt include any casted resist in your template is because they are not stats contributed by your template (much like you wouldnt include stat buffs either). They just make it less clear when seeing how close you are to the actual item caps.

Thus the key resists should be capped (or be close) to 26% before taking into account casted resists. Hence with casted you should have around 40%+.

regarding EP I would always have it, I mean a 50-60% power charge is kinda handy for a healer... Ctr once you take into account the passive dmg conversion is the highest utility item in the game.

p.s. Some of those items in your temp have unrecorded +af bonuses. Try and enter them aswell, as 40-50 af in your temp is a nice bonus if you can get it.

no offensce surf the boards for mess template its far better than the 1 posted... with new armor u must be able 2 better, my 1.84 temp is better than the 1 u postet... and scorp ring in temp is abit sucky and no EP in templete

The reason to not include the resist buffs when you write it down is in order to see how much actual resist you have in your template, someone has to go away, find out how much you get from the cleric buff, then come back, subtract that from the number your wrote in order to find out how much you actually got. If your going to include them, write them in brackets next to the actual template number.. It also looks like you are trying to use the fact that you have the casted buffs to get away with not capping the template ones.. Saying 15 body resist is ok because I can cast a self 16 body resist buff is not correct. The fact you have the buff should be ignored really.

Body resist is shocking if that's the value with resists up and your missing ctr and EP. Hits are low as well, but you could live with that if the rest was sorted out.

You can argue that they arn't vital all you want, but there's templates with better stats already posted that not only include these but don't use the new armour, and won't cost you any more than the one you posted.

Ok, had a chat with a friend who convinced me to try a bit better. We had good talk and I do understand what you are all saying, but I do think some comments where a bit harsh- I have personally seen much much worse templates :p

Really, the question about ctr and ep is a matter of opinion, now I didn't say they aren't nice I said they aren't the first thing I put into a template- its not like eoy where I would really notice it was gone.

About hits, well my cleric is highlander, so that gives me a little extra con on creation. She has about 10 extra than a briton which is what 40-60 hits? She ends up fully buffed with 2.2k hits (thats with less than capped hits in template) which I didn't think is really all that poor.

Anyway, thats the hits and stuff out of the question, so the only remaining thing is body which I knew would make people say something. Well the way I figured, the 10% less in body, is it really all that much? Even if they nuked 1k, thats what 100 dmg every nuke not shielded? I'm fully expecting a "but thats 100k every nuke!" response, but hey if I had made up my mind fully on what I was doing I wouldn't have bothered to post it here ;) Anyway, I didn't know about mezz and I hadn't considered Bainshee dmg but I would have prolly have stuck to my guns anyway. I rarely get caught in a mezz now with purge down now I have purge 3, and I kinda figured I always get squished with bainshees anyway with the template I have now which is body capped :( Well anyway it was nice to see peoples response lol :p
