1.82c Stormlord

Since the Convoker line was already weak for a Wiz (no pet) and brittles will now be nerfed and Stormlord will get a bit of a boost:
"- Arcing Power is now an instant-cast spell similar to Leaping Health from the Perfector line." (also with less shared timers)
... I'm tempted to try out Stormlord on my Fire Wiz.

Question to (ex-)Stormlords:
I know the explanation on the Herald only mentions DD's, AOE and PBAOE spells, but:

1. Will my single target lvl 50 root become an AOE root (this grey AOE earth root I use now is deffo gimp) when I use the AP buff? If so, does it have duration falloff?
2. Will a bolt do AOE damage with the AP buff?
3. Does Volcanic Pillar work with AP?

There MUST be some utility around here somewhere...

It does not turn a single target spell into AoE spell me thinks. It increases range on single target spells OR increase radius on AoE spells

before being a ml10 convoker i was a ml10 stormlord and i can say that the stormlord is basicly useless except on Close quarter situations such as keep/towe takes/defense or fight within walls

lets start with the highest....


* Ml10 gives ONE DD a aoe effect - was useless before since since the casting time was a joke considering the uptime of it and the fact that it only considers ONE DD.
Wizards already have aoe spells and utility to bring one DD spell to aoe is a joke sincerely dunno what Mythic/GOA has been drinking lately...

It might help once 1.82 comes up with insta for lets say a caba or sorc to AOE lifetap when life hitting the bottom


*ML9 ok this one gets pretty good when stacked with other storm Ml9 and even a strg/con debuff storm (choking vapors) especially on keep defense/takes. then again so is the DD trap from convoker the only positive thing about this its that it dosent go off on hit.


Ml8 to Ml4 is pretty useless on every situation except maybe on keep defense/take. Altho i should enhance the fact that a mental syhpon is real good on these situations.


Ml3 is the funny one and the one i most used if you can i advise to always use this one, it munches Tank´s endurance like pakman does if you want to avoid a tank to charge on you with full endurance....no endurance no styles and trust me tanks avoid steping near this storm like cats avoid water.

ML2 well its pretty shitty since it can be countered by ml6 (focusing winds)

Ml1 is a joke and a bad one tbh

1- Root dosent become AOE
2- Bolt dosent become AOE
3- VP dosent work with AP

"There must be some utility around here somewhere" - ORLY?? you forgot the persons that created this ML path are the same that created warlocks and BDs.....

Capturing Bin Laden, Elvis Coming back and Daoc Classes Balance are 3 things that are not gonna happen

didn't try on the aoe root as I'm ice :-( (still)
