wheres black?

oh and about the white dye - afaik the camelot dyes are like colored lightning or tints put on the items, so white dye = no dye. if you would want it possible to dye items completely white mythic would have to make a new model of every item specifially dyed with the white dye. not sure if its true.

tho yeah, givf white dye!

I agree that white would be cool, but, white textures are just awful in games.
It's probably because there's no good lighting model yet. I mean, face it, in real life, white isn't really a colour compared to like red or orange, I suppose that that's what makes white look really bad in games.

Okay, I'm bullshitting here. Can anyone come up with a decent explanation.. lighting models aren't really my thing.

White dyes are impossible?

This armor drops from siabra raiders in hibernia, when it drops it's orange but when you use an enamel remover on it it becomes white.

Its only been in the game for a couple years now or something. :kissit:

seeing as there was no info in this thread if the dyes are being replaced or just new ones added i thought they were being replaced (some of them looked really like the current ones :x)

Agree, a big improvement to emblems and then giving all guilds another possibility to change emblem sounds fair and good to me, and needed :)

The reason why white isn't used in games much is that you can't really cast good shadows on white textures, without it becoming gray. So basicly you can't see any "bump" on the textures.

Even without the lighting problem, the problem is still there. Though, i just blame it on lazy people at Mythic since we've seen white clothing in games before.

white dye is not possible - white textures are - however most armour is not white when undyed.

well, this is totally irrelevant for scale/plate/chain stuff, but at least in theory, white must be possible for cloth, as the original theurg epic robe is very white (plus some nice blue-pink frills ;) ).

Ok, I guess this was totally off-topic?! :p
