NEW THINGS AND BUG FIXES

- /follow, /stick, and /face can now be bound to a keyboard key in the keyboard set up screen.

- The odd fog problem on the SIS chipsets has been fixed - this fixes a Pendragon only bug where players with certain chipset hardware configurations saw odd fog effects in parts of the game that ordinarily didn't have them.

- The "Last Attacker" key in the keyboard configuration has been re-enabled.

- When you respec skills, you will now be displayed a dialog box that cautions you about the severity of what you are about to do, and forces you to click an accept/decline button.

- Any time you zone, you have a 30 second PVP invulnerability much like the PVP servers. Note that on standard servers, you will not get a message when your timer expires since it only affects you in rare cases (like the new PVP dungeons).

- Spellcrafters who are crafting gray items now only take 1/2 time to craft.

- The two highest spells in the new Shaman Earth Invigoration line are now in a seperate line. Now you will keep Earth Invigoration for buffing realm allies not in your group. This fixes a Pendragon-only issue.



WORLD NOTES

Albion Quests: A Deed of Old - Boneclaw Ring of Morra has had its level increased from 5 to 8.

Realm V. Realm - Battlegrounds: The few rare, remaining monsters that dropped loot in the Battlegrounds have been removed.

Realm v. Realm - Relic Keeps: Pendragon only: The fast spawning guards that guard the front of the relic keeps will no longer drop cash.

Dungeon: Corrupt Halls: Lowered the aggressive radius of some of the wandering monsters throughout the dungeon to cut down the chance of monsters aggressing through walls.


Courier and Intercept Missions

We have introduced a new set of tasks named "Courier and Intercept missions". These missions take place within the frontiers and can only be given to players who are 40th level or higher. There are two sides to each mission, a kill task and a protect task. The primary goal of the kill task is to speak with the mark dealer for a task, locate the courier listed, hunt the courier down, and then kill it. The protect task is a bit different in that you must find the courier, speak to it to obtain the task, and then ensure the courier reaches its destination alive. To better assist the defenders in locating a courier to defend, we have also added a status monitor within both border keeps. These status monitors will broadcast to the entire keep if a courier needs a defender and where this courier is located. You can also speak with this monitor to find if there are any couriers in transit that require assistance. At any time, you may use the /task command to receive the status of your task. Please note that you will have only one hour to complete this task. Should the courier take longer than this to reach its destination or should you not locate the courier, the task is considered forfeit.

The details of the rewards are as follows:

Kill Task - A large sum of coin will be split evenly to anyone who is on this task when the courier is killed. In order to receive your reward, you must be within 6000 units (just outside of visual range) of the courier when it dies.
Protect Task - A large sum of coin will be split evenly to anyone who is on this task when the courier reaches its destination. In order to receive your reward, you must be within 6000 units (just outside of visual range) of the courier when it reaches this point.

Items: Pendragon only: The focus staves that drop from the new loot system in the RvR dungeons should now have the proper statistics and focus levels. The quality "floor" of items dropped via the unique object system has been raised to be just above store-bought quality.

- The Petrified Bardic Wonder (Hibernia) now has a salvage value set.

- The Darkened Battle Shield (Hibernia) now has a salvage value set.

- The Dispositional Cloak (Midgard) can no longer be held.

- The Malefic Studded Helm (Midgard) now buffs piety and dexterity, instead of piety and empathy.

- The Ring of Arawn (Albion) that was previously a level 14 drop is now a level 40 drop. The stats on the item will remain the same.

The frontier missions look intriguing - one realm must defnd a guy, another attack the same guy. Could be fun

But most importantly - /follow, /stick, and /face can now be bound to a keyboard key in the keyboard set up screen.

Seems overall good changes, bounty hunting missions sounds like great fun, stick belongs on the keyboard etc. Not that MANY changes though but more to come I hope.

Lmao @ Ring of Arawn BTW. +4 str +4 con made a L40 drop. The irony is that I have no idea where to get the ring at L14, the only one I've had was from the Purple to 50 named priests in Lyonesse. Was quite amusing with a L14 drop from them

Edit: 1 complaint, the reward for this mission is purely coin? While it sounds like something you could do for your own high amusement, know also that the amusement won't be there if other people don't find incentives to actually protecting the couriers. Make it coin/xp/rp.

the coin is for the people that bankrupt themselves fixing keep doors/spellcrafting/crafting

there's a massive new moneysink in 1.53 (spellcrafted armour) so they need mre money sources: guards and consignments.

The ring is a level 40 ring... but it said level 14 on it - will drop from the same people Tis still pish though

Also drops in Snowdonia from Eye of Arawn, and (I think) from the other cyclops there.

Any new 40+ content really has to award XP - but the courier tasks look like they are intended as another way for high level characters to make gold to buy spellcrafted items without leaving the frontiers.

Given that 1.53 contains new dungeons, new loot system, spellcrafting and new style tasks its sounding as if it could be a translation nightmare for GOA - we shouldnt expect to see it any time soon.
