shame for all the non 50 players in albion, they will have it hard in 1,53
But well its not even on US yet and we dont even have 1,52 so there is still plenty of time to do goblins to 44 and then hit trees.

If you do 43 - 50 in one week at lair, then you totally lack a life, so an "adjustment" of Malmö mobs is not needed.

But please, cry Albion, for thou art weakened by having to kill mobs with normal hp ;)

Well, Mythic heard that, so they did, in their own special way. Not adding a bit of matter resist so that the cabbies wouldnt be able to dot them so well. Oh no.. that would have left the sorcerors still able to solo them. And we couldn't have that now, could we?

No, they added hp, which will stop the cabbies and sorcerors and, incidentally, make sure that larger groups will be needed at the tangler camps for longer.

This is good news for the people who whined about the cabbies, the sorcerors and the people who think that a group of less than 8 is an incomplete group.

This is bad news (obviously) for the cabbies and sorcerors. But it's also bad news for the people who were quite happy with them as they were.


Be careful what you wish for........

Rumour has it Pygmies have in the region of 1600 hp after the patch. That's going to make tanglers impossible to kill sensibly. WTF were they thinking with 1600 hp on a mob that bafs 10-30?! Also tanglers will cast nukes...
It's not going to be possible to get enough damage on the goblins quickly enough post 1.53. Another xp spot killed, not like DAoC has lots of them. :rolleyes:

No, Dannyn, they wont be impossible.

People will just have to start hunting them at a later level and keep bigger groups for longer.

I reckon they will be just as hard as the trees, which I suppose, isnt a bad thing for the 45+ people, particularly if they up the xp gained for them too.

I do feel sorry for the 35-45 people though. I lived at the pygmies (ordinary and tanglers) between level 35 and level 45. I have no idea where they are going to hunt now, unless they stay at the normal pygmies for longer, even though the auto is dead.

Ho hum....:(

Is this also the same patch where levelling from 40-50 is made considerably faster on all 3 realms ? If so, or if that patch follows relatively quickly, it's still a better situation than before.

I spend loads of time in the barrows at lvl 35-40.. Yes the barrows that place still excists, and I even soloed few lvls there since the exp aint all too bad atleast not for a smite cleric at that time.
Gets boring though soloing all the time but so does doing trees 12 hours a day with only 5 bubs gained.

And of course DF, its a great place to gain exp and money/seals and you can be killed by a purple con stealther of course but thats the risk you take by going there, I can say the exp is worth it.

Not impossible entirely, impossible sensibly. By the time you're high enough level to do a tangler pull it's going to be high 40s, where trees / DM are better xp for less risk (tanglers in a FG at 45+ are insanely slow). Mythic basically killed the xp spot off.

It is 40-45, read the semi-new patch notes

I've read about the 2k + gob's not sure how true that is thou.

anyway, It wont be worth the risk involved to xp on tanglers.
They will nuke and to escape them you will have to run to Catacombs, cuz they will hunt you til you zone or get help.

and about Malmö, 6h a day = 1 lvl a day, 43 - 46( or 47 cant remember ) after that 6h is atleast a ½ding aday.
Tanglers Solo = .2 per pull @ 46, 1 or 2 resists and you are totaly screwed, if everythig goes as planned you get good xp and high downtime.
So plz dont come here and tell me that The lair aint uber xpground 43-50.
The risk/amount of classes its avalible for/xp per hour

about the xpgrinds
40 - 45 = will be faster
45 - 50 = will be slower

Edit: Tanglers are only good xp for a few classes after 46 ( mainly Sorc, wizzys, cabalists, Theurgs ), not like the lair, where any class get grouped.

hohohoh the Lair aint uber fast xp? I made around 1b per hour at 49 ( i timed it ;) nothing much to do thern going 1,2,3,3,3,3,3,3 (assist,stick,style))

it was even faster at 43 (got lucky and got a spot at an early lvl ;))


BUT add in that alot of times you spent hours sitting on that damned HILL :(

Harder mobs but same exp = worthless waste of time.

As an infil I found yellow cons I could solo... sure, I have to pull with xbow, run a mile while I restealth, turn and PA, but I could solo the goblins at yellow con. Safely... ish.

Well I'll be past it, but I'm sad all the same.

Advisors are surprisingly good.
The first ones to the right and left can be PA'd safely and usually die after 2 hamstrings when stun wears off. Though it takes insane amounts of poisons to solo a level there. But shhh... i found it first and going to ding 50 on them before place is zerged by infis :)

"Just got back from testing them and copper was still there...

I pulled with amber and dotted them .. and dotted them again.

They got down to about 30% hits left cast another dot and they died....

BUT

Out of no where un dmged ones came and started attacking me... and the tangler now nukes... about a 90dmg nuke... i died after about the 3rd pull..

The new thing to note is they have about 50% more hitpoints, and they run slightly ... (very slightly) faster than they used to ... so they can go faster than run but not quite as fast as sprint and they chase nearly to cornwall .. i made it way past dunters before they turned.

So roughly 10% faster and roughly 50% more hits and the tangler now nukes."


Oh dear, its flaming typical. So now all the other xp spots will be overrun, no one will bother with tanglers and pygmy's. This game really seems to be going to nurf hell, I hate to say it but things look bad. Anything good about 1.53?

Yea we will be able to die more at the tanglers, for the same amount of xp, so we will be there for much longer ! :clap:

Perhaps.... and this is just an idea.... perhaps they are actually trying to prise people away from the goblin camps and into other areas of Albion.

A /who Lyonesse on any given night shows anything up to 90 people down there

You do a /who Dartmoor or a /who Barfog on the same night and you'd be lucky to find 20 in those areas.


As far as I know Midgard and Hibernia use their epic zones far more than Albion does.


So.. make the pygmies less attractive and people will move out.

Maybe I'm wrong, but.... :)

Only Albion has pygmys.

Mids exp in Epic Zone, Albs can do just the same.

Don't see why this would be so bad.

Cant see much of a Prob with peeps haveing more trouble with Pygmy Gobs, any excuse to not xp useing them sounds good to me, sure when Auto's were around it was good, but when they started to con lower (as u gaind lvl's) i thought the xp sucked

And Tanglers were only any good for a few lvls (unless u could form a 4 person AoE team)

so be pleased people, no more irrtateing Gobos, the real sad part is, your choices for other areas of xp are pretty thin on the ground (I felt haveing to be in a group at Witherwoods from 45-50 or else youd never see the next lvl, dam anoying)

People sooo underrate Darkness Falls for XPing. Get a good group, and the XP will come rolling in. Far more intresting than Lyonesse, and some decent loot at the end of it.

Only problem is the amount of adds a foolish pull can bring, and that its not always open.

Same with Dartmoor really, and to a lesser extent, Barfog. So there are still places to XP, and no one really likes Goblins anyway :)
