1.1 ring drop rate

Ok I would like to aquire the immolated ring (ml1.1 drop) for my template. Can anyone tell me how often it drops? ( I just want to know that its not incrediably rare coz I dont want to do it more than 4 or so times really).

I was under the impression that it was a 2.5% chance to drop. But the fun thing about random chance is that you can get one first time, and you can kill it 100 times without getting one. But I am sure some more capable Fire Island campers can chime in here with more accurate experiences.

ive done it some 20+ times atleast.. and not had any drop except shitty rogs ;p
those heat immune purros is such a pain when soloing it with menta tbh so cba doing it anymore

2.5% is reasonable, I farmed it in alb many many many times with mincer+bot and found 1/50 to be reasonable. We once got 2 in 3 consecutive fights but thats randomness for ya.

2 patches ago we did it 117 times and got 2 rings .. last patch got in on 11th try

unless you're realy lucky you will have to put alot of time into getting it im afraid :/

key with doing fire island is efficency.

sure you can salad mangler it which takes a good 10 -15 mins.

or you tag team it with a friend. best is this

1 good tank (shield if poss dont matter though) 1 good regrowth nut druid with fop.

2 PB mages or 2 light elds.

with this set up you do the encounter between 1-2 minutes. if you dont get a ring within 30mins to 1 hour your unlucky.

you literally keep hammering the encounter till it drops.

Salamander and light eld, plus a buffbot is about as fast as it gets.
Light eld can 1-2 shot the second mob, and does decent damage on the rest, salamander tanks.

i got the ring on my warden and the bow on my ranger.. both great items... i ended up tradeing a dragon ring for the immo ring, and the bow i won in a lotto (dropped first time we killed 1.1).. I have helped in farming the mob though and in 20 attempts we got nothing.... if your gonna buy it be ready for a price rangeing from 10 - 20plat for the ring and about 7plat for the bow i think

15-20p for the ring, 7-10p for the bow sounds about right yeah. I gave one of the bows I got away tho. =o

Did it about 30 (?) times one day and got pretty much everything else except the ring. Drop rate is good but so many items that drop that getting the good ones isn't too common.

I did it with just me and a BB! Takes a while with just the salamander doing damage though.
