Laz, we stayed in Shoney's the 1st 2 times and the Shertan Suites the 3rd time.
Eat at Sullivans and drink in City Streets.

The where is Houston (Texas). Yes they do have internet access, but its doubtful I'll have the TIME to get on at all.

Were staying north of Houston Centre, out near the works Campus. Most of the Drinking will be done alon 1960 (SRO, Wolfies etc). Most of the eating will be in the steakhouses around that area :

Waiter : How do you like your steak sir ?

Me : Just wipe its arse and stick it on the plate

The Galleria is a top shopping type place, loads of fanny.
