Thane is ok in PVE imo, I block a lot from blue mobs and practically everything from green/grey.

Can easily solo a couple of yellow mobs too.

RVR is a totally different story though. Was killed in DF by a lvl 45 infil, didnt hit him a single time...

Only time my Thane is gimped is when mezzed with purge down, other than that can take most classes 1on1 solo nightmares,an most other dia mobs, bearing in mind i have no bb so solo with self buffs only. Could be worse. Fafnir if you want to feel better about your thane do some duels

thanes pwn 1on1 and especially in duels, where the self buffs count for something.

I always thought thanes shine when fighting hib pbaoe groups... spamming mjolnir at the group of chanters and druids standing in a bunch while the real tanks do their job.

And getting shouted for breaking mez... always enjoyed that one !
