Cleric Template (10% range!)

Well, I thought it was about time I went back to the start after my TOA experience and redo my cleric template to exactly what I want and need.

Want:

*26dex cap and 101 dex in template
*10% cast speed
*10% spell range
*25% healing bonus
*25% power % bonus
*Two auras
*Egg of Youth
*CB mez/stun-turn
*Cap resists, matter non-important

Points to note/items used:

*Guard of Valor - yes, I know this is still a tank version on cleric. Yes, I have levelled it. Yes I know about the proc. No, it doesn't bother me.
*ML10 legs - yes, I know they are rare. Yes, I have them.
*Buckler - same as above.
*Belt - yes, it's infil reward - I have it.
*Scorp ring - yes, it's a shite to level.

The main problem is having to include GoV, Buckler and ML10 legs, therefore reducing amount of things you have to SC with. However, by using certain items, I need only 1 slot to get the constitution required, which helps a lot.

For a template with 10% range, without dropping power, cast speed, dex cap etc I think it's a good first go.

Hate to point this out cause it's awesome that you managed to get a template with all that in but warlocks the forthcoming mid FoTM use matter damage and nuke for a considerable amount more then normal casters within the first 10 seconds of combat so unless you have a cleric who can heal for 1000 every 2 seconds (if you have that little matter resists), you're screwed

What's the cap on Power %? There's actually 33 in template.

On the subject of power pool: Pow% is 25% cap if you have 0 pow cap or + power, but as far as i know with the right items and pow increases (power cap etc) look for the items that say "this works for both pow% and pow cap) ie malace belt, with items like that you can get 75% however this is ofc extremly hard to get and you would have to cut back on a lot of other things in your temp, so not really worth it. This is just how i understand it, maybe if someone else can correct me.

Cap is 50 - the "cap bonus" for AF is not capbonus it's just AF bonus, so u have 36 af on ur template

Not sure, I was looking for a piece of chain on CMs that had Healing bonus, and these fitted perfectly. Was 2 on CMs last night, I bought a pair for a few plat.

They have a heal proc which cures you for 100hp.

Catacombs is predicted to be less then three months away which is why matter resists concern me. Albs on the american servers have been paying for not capping matter resists on suits big style so is mainly a heads up to people who don't have a lot of cash if they decide to follow this template. As for a new kit, if I understand right, catacombs doesn't have much for level 50's, much like SI except of course better done and a few more sidi 'instanced' areas which aye will drop better stuff but who knows how many people will be needed to do them...

It's only 3 SCed items, that's nothing.

I'll stick with it for now.

Its only a weapon, a pair of Boots and the sleeves that needs crafting, should be much more than a few plats and its done tbh.

I just need the Legs then im set for this temp Unless we can work something better out

btw, I mixed up a few templates while writing the post.

There are very few decent items around with power cap on them.

I tried a few variations to do so, but you simply can't cap everything else as effectively. You end up way overcapping dexcap, and ending up with crap resists.

I don't usually find power a problem, having 25% power already in my current template, due to decent positioning and FOP usage, as well as effective healing.

Im not entirely sure what the hard cap on powerpool % is, but i've got 42% on dangart

This is the one im using Eggy, it lacks abit of range but has better AF and Pow...

Going for mine, range was the main point of the exercise. And GoV looks cool

I was thinking that, but i wasnt sure.

Damn, i have the studded, plate, leather, and cloth (2 kinds of cloth) but i dont have the cleric chain from Samut yet, maybe tomorrow...

Hard cap is 75%. 25% before any +cap, max of +50% cap increase.

Getting the 75% without being seriously gimped is basically impossible

hm,

im pretty sure cloudsong has 5 powercap increase, and since you said there's 33% pp total in your template it will bring total pp to 30%

next to that you could try and check out the chain helm, if its the same version on alb it has pretty much the same stats as zahurs crown but with 5 powercap on it

VF you are absolutely right, I missed the powercap increase on Cloudsong out.

And, the template itself had 26% power before that, I made a clerical (pun) error.

So actually the template has 31% power.

I'm sure there are helms with cap increase, but I really want zahur in there all the time. Plus, the stats and resists the above items give cap resists to exactly 26% in most cases, which makes them a great combination.

id say 5% power has a far more noticable effect than 1-2% resists
