Anyone know what that patch was for?

My DAoC client downloaded a patch tonight, but there's no mention of it on the 'official' (/cough) site. Any clues as to what this fixes?

It fixed some exploits.
Sometimes we update code and it's not really anything that you as players will notice in gameplay so it's not particularly worth explaining it as, unless you work with the game code, the explanation will be meaningless.

Of course if you do work with the game code then you'd know what the fix was for anyway...

Reminds me of the guy in my delta force-squad that came into the chat and said "fat bear taste like shit". :)

I'm sure the patch was for a good reason and I'm very glad and appreciative of it - but at the same time, do sort of wish there was mention of it on the website, my first thought when it started downloading was that I was patching to US servers again, like used to happen all the time... Its fine now obviously but just an official word saying theres a patch (not even what it does) would be great.

yeah they need to load up the config files and change

#define IRRITATING_WHITE_NAMES 1
to
#define IRRITATING_WHITE_NAMES 0

and it'll all be good :)

seems to have increased the warning time on unclaimed towers..

ie before patch it wouldnt show as under siege till door was 50%, now its more like 80%

that a fix or a new bug?
