shaving spots

i dont recall an occassion where ive shaved and got spots. last night however, i shaved and got spots. not just one or two, but a whole load of them round my mouth. recall your local chav whos been inhaling solvents and your there

ive tryed a crushed rice exfoliator cream and a hemp hand mit (like sandpaper but for your body) but they arnt going

anyone got some tips?

I had it once where my shaving sucked shit and I got painful red spots where the hairs were ingrowing.

All I did was left it a while for the hairs to grow back...

it can happen if your skin is too dry, not lubricated enough with shaving foam/gel or if the razor is beginning to blunt if it's a normal razor. I use to have problems with spots on my neck if I used a razor why I use a good electric shaver now but these too can give you spots when the cutters get blunt or they start shaving slower due to lack of charge or a motor thats on it's way out.

put moisturiser on after shaving, sounds a bit wimpy but stops me getting thins like that

vitamin e cream should at least soothe it. i have to shave night and day as i have that sort of complexion, and have to ensure i use vit. e/after shave balm or my face is sore as fook.

Hmm, try shaving with palmolive soap, my normal shaving cream starting giving me a rash all of a sudden :/

So used palmolive soap, makes your skin nice afterwards

I have a tendancy to get similar stuff if I use a shave foam (I think it's the propellants) rather than a shave gel, and tend to use the sensitive kind of gels and aftershave balms too. I also get it if I use too blunt a razor, and shaving every other day is better for me than every day.

This has happened to me before, not long after i started shaving. I just rinse with cold water after a shave or use after shave to prevent this from occuring.

A hot water shave usually opens your pores, leaving them open for dirt to get in and spots to start, particularly when your skin is thinner anyway, after a shave.

Rinsing with cold water closes your pores, and prevents the spots. I think this is mentioned in that wikipedia url solo posted.

Of course, this could just be bullshit, as im no expert, but its always worked for me. 7-8 years and no spots

maybe the razor had some kind of disease in it

i noticed cal is having this issue too

this is what i did, and they went within the day -

morning - crushed rice exfoliation cream and scrub with a hemp hand mit

evening - dead sea mud mask (leave on for 15 minutes), exfoliation cream, scrub with mit and finally used nivia for men moisturising cream

nothing wrong with it

i didnt get sore skin or red marks etc. it went smooth and spot free

i sat watching scrubs with my face mask on, felt like a right woman

ive been using face masks for about 2 years. started by stealing them off one of my lady friends, then she bought me some for christmas.

id rather have nice skin then blemishes and spots all over, and if you think it makes me sound gay i dont really have an issue with that

Used em before, also the green crap you put on your face which cleans your skin, then there's the nose cleaner thing. They work/help. Don't need them anymore though
