[Movie] Sleezer #1: A bald Lurikeen

Seeing as it's the trend nowadays to make a movie, I decided to record a bit aswell.

Don't expect anything fancy edited, or fighting high RR opponents (I panick whenever I see a high RR incoming and forget to press record :<) The point of the movie is just "Hey dudes, check out these clips I've captured" and nothing more. It's a first one aswell, so the rare editing will blow and you'll all find the music "teh suck"

Buuuut, regardless of all that: Download it and give feedback so I can improve it for a future one

i just watched it

firstly the good things

liked the editing like the letter font, kind of liked the music although some of the later tracks didnt do it for me.

in terms of play style 2 things bugged me. you dont swap weapons. and you are a LW main hand user. this is truly criminal. u need to get into the habbit of having your weapon inventory open and using swap in poisons. this is bread and butter Ns stuff. many times u got adds inc after first target is down and you had time to swap in poison weaps but u never bothered. u got to sort this out.

you were also damn slow too the punch. when you spot a stealthed opponent it like it took you a second to stick them and then you would attack. as a shade you should be like poised to strike, on the keys ready to hit that stealthed target asap. even if its just a garrote opener strike fast get the jump and get into your styling quicker and your opponents will be dead so fast.

Also the frame rate was very slow, this is a technical thing maybe your PC cant handle higher FPS.

Also one last thing. go with XVID rather than DIVX. summin really bad about DIVX cant put me finger on it just the blurryness when the camera pans. XVID is so much better for daoc vids.

thats all negative stuff. For a first vid i though this was first class. It was nice to watch and funny and had some good fights. I am not tearing it to pieces just trying to give some pointers that people have given me.

You're absolutely true about the slow part xD I have the habbit of constantly clicking my weapon and clicking stick, losing alot of time with that. And the slow framerate must be 'cause I'm always dual-logging :<

And I'm not a LW user per se, got open Mainhand template so I just swap to GS with debuff on it if I get an add, usually switch back to heaters when target is debuffed then tho

I just prefer LW over arti/drop

Cheers for your feedback tho, don't know anything about all these codecs thingies so i'll be having to have them looked up =D

agree with censi on the slow to attack part and repoison part, repoison is really helping alot, not just the ws/con debuff but also lifebane

Well first was a nice movie nice editing and music

but u need to improve ur play style a lil bit

Fight vs Bradlex? why the in hell would u use heater at start vs him? GS if he purges change to some other wep for debuff and go back to GS again. the fight vs that minstrel why oh why u use spirit lw vs albs and vs chain?

I used GS versus Bradlex, fyi

And I use spirit vs them cause they gimp it. It's only 5% resistant anyway, does more dmg then GS. :>

Not a bad first vid. I felt it got better as it went on, as it didn't seem to know what direction it was going in at the beginning :>

Some nice fights, some good attempts to take down tanks and some higher RR opponents :>

Being picky - I would say the editing could have been a little tighter in places, and maybe on a few enemy, some pre-poisoned weaps could have caused them a few more problems.

But not bad. Looking forward to the next one.

ye was a nice vid, only thing i can say is try to practice with more LWs with more poisons for those adds or just long ass fights .. always turns up a winner
