I bought a MSI NX7900 (effectively a Gx7900 512mb with a big ass fan on top)
When i run daoc i my display is extermely jumpy and eventually ends up with exiting with the message you have gone link dead.
Now here's the clincher, i ran fraps to show you the problem as a result the fps is nerfed to fraps's (30) and everything is fine.
Without fraps i was getting 80-180 fps, and the game was unplayable.

Anyone know if there is a fix?

Thanks in advance
/regrets sending back his Radeon x1900 in exchange for this :<

found a solution, update the drivers to the ones off the MSI website and it seems to resolve it, an alternative is to use a higher screen resolution (1280x1024 for example) and it seems to run fine on that also.

happen to own a dualcore cpu?

if so

after starting daoc, alt tab out, press cltr-shift-esc, find game.dll, right click, set affinity to only one cpu
