Not sure if this has been posted before - http://www.pipelinecard.org/

This has been getting a lot of press recently, I was a little sceptical about the idea at first but it's since been plugged by Evo mag which therefore gives it kudos and a reputation worth looking into.

No harm in signing up, the more people the better; 5-10p a litre (call it 20-40p a gallon) is better than nothing. They have an agreement in principal, so lets hope it carries through.

I'd not heard of it, but I've signed up now and will pass it along.

I'm very sceptical of course, but it didn't stop me signing up ages ago. I just don't see where the discount arises.

fairly straight-forward i thought,

Basically approach somewhere like Shell and say (plucking a figure) "we have 50,000 people willing to join a scheme where they will only buy fuel from you if you discount 5p a litre" .... "sounds good, get us the people up front".

This website then issues the cards once the deal goes through that will only be accepted at a Shell garage - they get guaranteed punters in the door, we get a discount, almost like a loyalty card.

Hopefully, it might push others into doing it too.
