I dont think you have an erection for 36 hours...I think the pill lasts for 36 hours during which time if you are sexually stimulated it will enable you to have an erection.

The pills just reduce the size of the blood vessels in the penis so the blood fills them up easier and therefore a quick longer lasting erection...
