Well thanks to the smoothly run ml4 raid this evening :twak:, and some of us missing ML4.10, im going to be running this myself.

Details
Date: Saturday 5th November
Time: 12:00 GMT (13:00 CET)
Meet: Stygia
BG on: Esie/Kyja/Ryuno/Frei (One of these)

What Steps are we doing?
4.2 Fortress of STorms
4.5 Jann
4.6 Oukesson
4.7 Iter Statues
4.8 Daehien
4.9 Gaurmaes
4.10 Matikhoras

What about loot?
All loot will be rolled for at the end with /random 1000, highest winners get to choose loot. Due to the nature of 4.2 and the huge loot it generates, scrolls will be compiled into books, and 1 of 1 and any cheap scrolls will be destroyed.

LDs
We wait about 3 mins for LDs, but if it is starting to hold up the raid, then we will move on, and hope you can catch up.

Due to losing credit on last 4.10 because of LD death, I'd suggest the following (a good guideline for all ML raids really): After the last ML step (usually .10), the BG will lotto all items in pre-named haven (or a spot that can be reached by porting easily), and all who missed the last step will be given /grantcredit. All BG members who don't come to lottospot must leave the BG immediately after last step, so /grantcredit works.

How does this sound? I've never lead any ML raids, but this would be a help to many people's frustration over missing the last step of a raid. For some absurd reason I have managed to miss four .10 steps due to LD death during my daoc career, and normally I go LD very rarely... Last ML4 raid there was several people who had this shitty experience, including me, and we never got the bloody .10 credit = all raid gone to waste for us.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Ryuno, but I had to vent this out somewhere, and I hope to grab that .10 credit on your raid ;)

I always wait for LDs to grantcredit. I missed 4.10 because the last ml4 raid, the leader decideded to leave as soon as the mob died.

Most people who have been on my raids know that i'm fair, and I know what im doing. Rest assured, you will get credit on this raid :)

It's not only the leader who has to be there, it's 75% of the BG too... that's why I suggested it would be stated clearly at the start of each raid that lotto will be arranged on some good easy-to-reach spot, and people who don't come there should leave the BG after the last step.

Hope I have time to join your raid :)

If the leader leaves straight away, then so will most of the BG. The last raid, the leader decided to take all the loot and skip any kind of lotto. Thus preventing any LDs from coming back and recieving credit (even after 1 minute since the boss had died).

Yeah, that's true, I was on the same raid and missed the last step too, due to an overheating processor that decides to boot my comp whenever I'm doing MLs... and I was not even duallogging :(

Any idea if /grantcredit needs 75% of the original BG that killed the mob, or can the leader just kick everyone out and and invite the ones who missed the credit?

Just 75% of the bg.

from the Camelot Herald Patch notes:

There are two new commands, available only to BG leaders:

- /bg credit will display credit for Battlegroup Master Level encounters that have been completed within the last 10 minutes. This command can be used by the Battlegroup leader without restriction.

- /bg grantcredit [MasterLevel] [PlayerName] will allow you to grant credit for completed Master Level steps, with the following restrictions:

- You may only grant credit for steps completed within the last 10 minutes.

- You must be within 1000 units of the player you are granting credit to.

- The ML step must be a battlegroup-enabled step.

- You must be within 2000 units of 75% of your battlegroup members (in other words, the majority of your BG must be there with you).

- You may only grant credit to up to half the number of players that received credit for that step correctly .

- You may not grant credit for a step that the player could not possibly receive due to dungeon restrictions (for example, players must be at least ML8 to receive ML9 credit)

- Example usage: /bg grantcredit 1.9 Player-ClusteredServer

Ahha! That's why it's important to prevent people from scattering off right after the last mob is done. Ofc the leader must not bugger off right away either ;)

yep :)
Thats why holding a lotto can be quite important on a MasterLevel raid.
But then I wouldnt agree with someone who just takes all the loot anyway. I'm still a bit annoyed by that last raid leader, selfish people really ruin this game :(

ML4.2 was bugged, which was great after we spent 2 hours hacking at it, then to find the end boss of ml4.2 was also bugged.

I may re-arrange it for sometime this evening, but right now im so pissed off with this game, it may not happen at all. We will see....

Sorry again to everyone who waisted their time on this.
