Agobot worm and sounds.dat problem

A worm that's causing some trouble.

Recently we have been receiving strange bug reports related to the patching of a file called "sounds.dat". In practice, this file patches itself over and over again preventing the game from connecting to the login servers. An uninstall / reinstall does NOT seem to fix the problem.


After investigating the issue our results have laid the blame at the feet of a worm frugally called agobot or goabot. We recommend that those who are confronted to this problem update their antivirus software and do a full scan of their system. You should know that this worm is extremely recent and that some antivirus programs may not yet detect or deal with it.
It seems that the deletion of this worm is enough to fix the updating problem.
