Combined game.dll crash thread.

Yes, there seem to be an issue with some peoples game.dll's.

I am running an athlon 2400xp
OS Windows 98SE.
Direct X 9C
Latest Nvidia drivers
Geforce 4600TI Graphics card
1 Gig Ram

The error messages generated are application game has caused an illegal instruction error followed by ddhelp.exe has caused an illegal instruction error.

Seems to happen randomly TOA and Alb Frontier is as far as i have got.

Also was not getting this problem before small patch download.

looks like u have run out of disk space.....

Having the same issues (although I could log in after crashes yesterday). Don't have a clue how to generate those crashreports though or where to find them. Is there also a way to generate those nice systemspec reports? (besides writing down)

Can't get the specs of the machines but both mine and my other half's crashed at the same time (and at different times) in emain last night on Excal. Moved to Pryd in frustration (non-rvr zones) and no crashes.

Im going to delete the above posts. I know its fucking obvious a lot of people are having issues, but if you dont post error reports and system spec, theres sweet f/a they can do about it.

At least one of them above has asked, politely and sensibly, how to generate the system reports and error logs, so as they can help you with this issue, and you just blank em, and sling abuse.

Tell you what, go stick it in your arse - Zenythe, Requiel et al are all sound folk, with a real community sense, but you appear to be some arse-chewing hitler type...

I have read ALL of the deleted posts and NOT ONE of them was a polite request about how to generate the information required. Indeed, all of them were whine/flame shite which is NOT required in this thread. nor, might I add, is mod-baiting.

You folks are fortunate to have GOA reps here adding their input on a regular basis, and yes I appreciate that there may be issues you are facing which can be frustrating, but try to be constructive about resolving the problems if you want to speed the process up.

1. The posts that were deleted didn't help ANYONE other then flamers give a + 1 to their e-peen
2. Attacking a mod for doing his job is NEVER helpfull .. if you feel he's doing something wrong PM him or maybe the other mods but further developing the flamefest will just turn this thread into a bigger flamefest

Right - a classic case of the few spoiling things for the majority. I've closed this thread because despite a very clear warning some of you refuse to keep it on topic.

If you are having crashing issues, don't post here, use RightNow as per the official GOA stance.

If you think that closing this is unfair on those with the issue who want to report their specs etc to help aiding the resolution then please feel free to PM directly (ingame or on here) users such as Wittor/Wize or any other smartass who decided to piss me off. Don't bring your complaints to me or Tilda or any other mod.
