The End of Shadows - Congratulations :D

Congratulations !!!

At 22h22 gmt I heard of the first group finishing the Solstice mystery starting at Gothwaite Harbour completely

Because of their help and patience, I wanted to thank them personally with this post and congratulate them again

Bomag the Paladin
Adiellyn the Cleric
Mauness the Cleric

But how did they do this and what did they gain from finishing the Dungeon?

All started at Gothwaite Harbour.
Children are menaced and our job as Champions was to solve that problem.
Well after giving a wooden toy sword to a young boy he told us about the means to enter the lair of evil.
We all ported in, buffed up fast and moved fast.
Jumping from the balcony so we could get to the statue fast, which we moved.
We fought on that same spot for over 20 minutes till the last Shadow fell.
Carefully we moved through the halls and reached the bosses lair, a huge semi-invisible Spider.
First we had to kill some more invisible bodyguards just outside the spiders lair.
But finally we fought a 30+ minute fight with the final mob.
While the clerics were healing us, we slowly vanquished the problem.
The spider fell and we remained victorious.

Afterwards, we all got about 8 to 10 Glimmers of Hope
and 2 Twilight Akati Crowns dropped (stats posted later)


The following is some kind of walkthrough
Don't look if you don't want to spoil it for yourself.

1) craft a Wooden Toy Sword
2) give it to the little boy at Gothwaite Harbour who is guarded along the other children
3) at midnight, shadows will spawn, kill 'em personally until you get a 'special' cloak.
4) make a grp AND make sure u got a half-ogre with you
5) port in
6) inside, your first and most important job is to prepare for heavy forces
7) get the wooden logs lying in a hallway
8) give that wood to the half-ogre
9) the ahlf-ogre has to go to the statue and push (right-click) it onto the spawn-spot
10) make a stand and kill all mobs till they are ALL dead ; no need to find them, they'll come to you
11) move carefully through the halls till you reach the boss
12) kill the boss who is immune to magic
13) congratulate each-other and part as friends

was good fun even if a bit long winded but we got there in the end

Am curious what you can get through wearing entire sets now Once you've done it, is it possible to do it again? Also, what con are the mobs?

a 4 people grp get you orange mobs
a 6 people grp got us red mobs

the thing swhich dropped from the boss are (pity) only extraordinary for pve-things.
in rvr it's only armour with no extra's

dunno about the armours from the glimmer collector though

and it is basically a Task Dungeon like place so you can go in again

Next time Goa thinks of something like this again, we should bring the grp back together

That was a great fight

Also the Glimmer of Hopes which you pick up during the mad moments of fighting back those shades can be used to buy the armour pieces that the final mob drops from that random merchant in gothwaite. Also some other random stuff on there as well.

P.S Niav was my brothers char, i was playing him during that part since he was not around ^_~ and i'm glad i got to do it because it was a blast ! ^_^
