Hi,

So I decided to roll a supp SM as well (yes run away to mountains, here comes ix the SM, lol),

Tell what you think of this SM build please. I try to have it be quite cheap, with arties what are almost must to have, to be able to stand a change in RvR.

So do please comment, and give suggestions thanks.

Not bad at all Ix, but 1 thing i think is important is to cap that 10% on cast speed - i used scalars to get to 10% on my new sm's suit so thats worth thinking about :)

i believe you are using the wrong stats for GoV.

i believe the SM version has 18 pie and 5 pie cap instead of 18 str and 5 str cap which you have in your temp.

looks nice, but i would try overcap piety a bit more.

And i think ya overcapped points of 118 (101) on dex is a waste of 17 points if i am not wrong.


maybe take the cb piety version?

and the serpentine choker is nice aswell immo as necklace.

You are right on dex - there is no point to get dex in above template over than the 101 (dexcap). But it can be good thing thou if one does change items... If you don't have the extra dex on template and you change a lot items in different situations like pve / rvr, and if you swap an item which provided that extra dex with one that doesn't - you no longer don't have the capped dex.

No reason to put +power in. ToA +power% however is a must have.

normal + power is just a static power bonus and will at the best allow you to cast 1 extra spell, while the toa +power% is a percentage of your total powerpool.

+ power would be great if casters had a fixed mana pool of 100 pts, but now caster have a much greater powerpool, and well even 1% of a 200pts pool is then better then +1 to it :)

simple math.

ps. the second reason +power aint worth it is because it'll fuckup one of you other stats/resists and that isnt worth it, unless your doing a pure pve template.. then cap + power, +power% & +dur

Ok here is new version of the template, I revisited it based on the above posted comments:

I noticed the max dex cap what can be achieved is 101.. so I altered some items like cloak.

Hope you like it, I kinda like it now :) thou the eriny's charm is tuff to get. But if you'll be on every bluesky's raid - to have such privilidge - you will increase your mod, and bound eventually to win it.

-cap pie, your not using nailahs, croc ring, zoa etc so theres no reason you shouldnt have capped pie

nop, the reason you dont put power in a templateis , power wards and power leak abilties are based on your power pool, higher the power pool higher the effect of these abilities.

-your energy resists is 0?? hib pbaoe is energy seeing as you plan to run in and do the same you really dont want to meet a moc'ing hib inside ur box with those resists

Check my revisited template. energy resist in that is just fine :)

The hardest thing for a Supp SM to get for RvR is ... more Supp SMs ... most RvRing SMs are dark ones ... the Supp ones are mostly used for PvE only so PBAE groups in Midgard are seldom seen.

Why do you have +int in a midgard caster template? Midgard casters/seers use piety, not intelligence..

Resists are by far the best in your newest template.. having no energy in the first 2 or 3 or how many it was kinda made my eye spasm a bit..

Get your stats right on items so you're not using many different caster stats.. you should only be looking at piety, not intelligence.

Aye mate, I was bit clueless before what resists one should cap, to be safe on hib/alb pbaoes..

Not sure about the intelligence. You maybe right. Anyone know for certain?

+ that intelligence isnt deliberately increased. its just a stat boost of few of those items I use in the template. Like maddening scalars and tartaros and erinys charm.

Hope those stats are ok? anyone can verify?

Found the reason in xmls I use. in those three items its been marked they boost intelligence - in mid its piety. have to revisite the template again.

Lol, u guys :) I dont have many chars. For years I had only ixoth + marmattaja. then I was able to get fop for marmattaja and was able to enter to mod for the first time (in practice). After some time from that , I decided to create supp sm, and now been doing some alts. Basically to study different classes, how good they are. If I liked that class, I chose to save it instead of deleting it.

In the end it depends on personal preference...

On most my mid chars I generally chose lower matter than spirit, however on my hib chars I prefer a bit higher matter and maybe slightly lower spirit.
