Why ?
hmmmm, got a few chars across differnet servers, 4 on silvermoon, 7 on shadowmoon, and a few others dotted around, now i can log on to all of them and it goes to char screen almost instantly except shadowmoon, where it says retriving char list and stays like that for ages, it is not as the server is full, as silver and shadow moon servers both say full but can log on to silvermoon instantly just not shadowmoon
 any one got any ideas ?

Can happen all the time... just need to be extra patient!
Not sure what it is.. prolly issues with the login server?
