Anyone got this yet? I've been playing the demo for a couple hours non stop, and was utterly thwarted at getting my hands on a copy today. Going to head into town to hit up Game tomorrow and hope that they have one for sale. I love this game so much. I have thumb blister. Thumb blister! From a demo. I'm going to have to steel reinforce my digits if I get the real thing. Guys, if you want to get your girls into console gaming, get them this game. I haven't met a lady yet that doesn't love it. My godson thinks it's brilliant too, and every time he rolls something up his feet twitch off the ground. Very cute. It soaks into you though. I found myself grinning in traffic works once, eying up all the traffic cones in a row, feeling a strong urge to roll them up. I think it was someone on these forums that recommended the original game to me, so thanks. You created a (deformed thumb) monster.
Mycenae - you play a little... cousin?... thing... and you have this giant sticky ball called a katamari, and you roll things up with the ball and they stick to it, so the more you roll, the larger you get, the bigger things you can roll... It sounds simple, and dull, but it's strangely cathartic and mesmerising and addictive. It's got the re-play value that old school spectrum games did. And Wij - I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea. But I have just lost all respect for you.
Dam, does your demo only have 2 available levels? If so, how the hell did you spend 2 hours playing it? Or, am I just so shit at it, I haven't done well enough to open up more levels!
I can't believe I've not posted in this thread before now! Katamari FTW! YouTube - Katamari Damacy Intro Now, you can't argue with that!
I saw a really really large woman in specsavers today, and I wanted to push her over and roll her around the shop until she was smothered in spectacles. How can you not love a game that does this to you? Me and you Scouse, in big zorbing balls covered in glue, rampaging through a shopping centre. The rest are infidels, and don't understand. Come the revolution, we'll simply roll them up and go on to bigger and better things.
do they have this for the WII ? I had a go on my bro's they other day and it was great fun, a game like this would be amazing I think
We've been playing Katamari since the original (in Japanese no less, complete mind f*ck!) and love it. Just picked up the new PS3 version and it's great, doesn't suffer from the laggy slowdowns the old ones used to.
