I'm nipping over to see my lil bro', hopefully next week. He lives in Sydney and I figured since I'm out of work and I've never been then now's the time.

Anyone know where to book cheap flights to Oz. As in, anyone know better than google? :)

lastminute.com? Never used it but if you want to go next week that's pretty last minute. :p

    Looks like £1000+ for a return (13th-20th).

Don't know if this link will work but if you say you are flexible with dates there are some cheaper options...

Not really - dont think theres anything better than the various compare sites - best I could find was £630 including tax on Asiana Airlines (?) leaving Saturday.

Edit - From Heathrow tho - where do you want to depart from?

Scouse, I know an annoying landlord that we work for that does flight bookings. She's an annoying cow, but she does get good deals.

If you PM me some contact details, I could pass them on to her? Alternatively give me your depature and return dates, and I will ask her for some quotes.

Hope you've made sure you can get a permit to travel over there, even if you're just going to visit for up to a year (without working ofc)

Have a great time btw :england:

Edit: Make sure you take some real English Cadbury's chocolate with you and keep it in a handy close place for when you land. (They check to make sure your not bringing shit into the country) trust me when I say the chocolate taste weird over there!

    Hi,

I recently found Liligo.com which searches really well for cheap flights. It will mix up different airlines and check dates before and after the specified date etc.

I just plugged in next week London to Sydney return and got back £808 as cheapest, or £839 with Emirate airlines.

    Hope that helps

Got Brum to Sydney for £900 all in. Not exactly cheap but fuck it. Off next Wednesday.

Air asia are the intercontinental equivalent of ryanair/easyjet, you go from stanstard to kuala lumpour than on to oz, its dirt cheap

    but

You even have to pay to use the chair mounted tvs, pay for all your food on the flight etc

I would rather spend the extra and get a decent flight for that amount of time in the air.
