Vent problems with vista

so i got a new computer yesterday and my vent works fine when im not in game, but as soon as im ingame my vent wont work, i can hear others but it wont work when i push to talk etc, now does that mean i havent set it up right in vent or is there summin in daoc that i have to click / vent setup? or is it just bloody vista?

Just make Ventrilo run with Admin rights, then push to talk will work again

There's also changing your volume properties to run through microphone instead of stereo..

If you are using Ventmix there might be more than one executable to change rights on. Just a guess.

Many of my guildies had this problem and we finaly have a working solution.

This is for people with MS Vista operating system



In addition to setting the program to run as an administrator try to disable the "Use direct input to detect hotkey" which can be found by clicking setup. Look for it in the "Voice" tab.

I had to turn off the UAC to get vent to work ingame with push to talk.

more like FAILsta had same problem btw, I just made it voice activation
