Wireless Woes (can't connect to Internet)

Slight problem with my home network, which is driving me up the wall.

I can access the network when using a static IP address - this includes all machines on the network. 4 of these are using wireless, and one is using cable.
But for some strange reason, I can't use the internet.
It's a linksys pci card, WMP54G I think... it was all working fine and dandy until sunday evening when my net connection went down.
The only pc that still had access to the internet was the one that's wired... we reconfigured all the wireless pc's, and they all work now (network and internet). It's only my pc thats acting up.

I'm running win2k pro if that helps.... I have to use a tool called WLAN monitor to even get on the wireless network, since win2k doesn't seem to have built in wireless network functionality.

I've tried disabling my own software firewall, the router firewall, as well as turning off WEP.
No avail.

Tried doing what it says on the Linksys website (turning down RTS threshold, beacon interval, and one other setting I can't remember).

One other thing - when I turn on DHCP on the router, and set my pc to automatically have an IP address assigned, it's windows that assigns me IP addy (169.xxx.xxx.xxx) rather than the router one (192.168.xxx.etc).

I can ping the router from DOS, I can also ping the other machines.
But I can't access the router by entering the IP address in a browser window.

Perhaps there's a problem connecting to the DHCP server part of the router. Or something.

Oh yeah, I've tried uninstalling the software, removing the pci card, reinstalling software, and then sticking card in. Several times in fact. Still no joy.

Anyone got any ideas?

20 hours later, still no joy.... decided to install WinXP pro on my second partition.
20 mins after it's installed, I'm back online
*sigh*

Anyone know if it's possible to run programs installed with Win2k in Winxp?
usually I get .dll errors, which is hardly surprising. Any way of fixing this?
