A question of RAM

Ok, my machine currently consists of the following

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2. GHz (FSB 1333MHz) Socket 775 L2 6MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor
ASUS Maximus Formula Republic of Gamers iX38 Socket 775 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard
BFG 8800GTS 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card
Windows Vista 64 bit Ultimate
2 gig of OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 667MHz/PC2-5400 (OCZ2SOE6672GK) CL 4-4-4-12 Gold XTC *SPECIAL OPS* Edition
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Soundcard
All inside a Coolermaster Cosmos case so its pretty cold in there.

Obliviously the memory is the bottleneck in my system and I am looking to upgrade. I am not really sure what to get, I would like to be able to upgrade to 8gig in the future so I am really looking for two sticks of 2gig. Some of the higher end RAM has pretty wide cooling fins so if I want to upgrade they aren't really up to the job.

I was looking at http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141930...6480&helpful=1

or maybe?

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1000Mhz/PC2-8000 PLATINUM Memory Unbuffered CL5 DUAL CHANNEL - Ebuyer

Or even?

OCZ DDR2 2GB Kit (2x1GB) 1150MHz/PC2-9200 (OCZ2FX11502GK) Flex XLC Dual Channel Kit - Ebuyer

Though i think the 3rd one may be a tad wide.

Don't know a lot about RAM really so not really sure what was best, DDR3 seemed a little to expensive for my wallet.

DDR3 really isnt much of a difference performance wise, atleast in games.

PC8500 should be fine tho, can't really see any reason to go higher than that.

Same, stick with some of the OCZ PC8500, good value for money and good performance.

Thanks all, a little more than i had wanted to spend but whats £25 when building a PC?

OCZ 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 Reaper Memory HPC Edition Dual Channel - Ebuyer

The fins on the other OCZ memory are a little to large I think
