Speaker problem

My speaker is making a weird whirling sound, almost like the wind is blowing outside the window. It's the same volume and it's always on regardless if im playing any music or anything. If i cut the power it obviously goes away. Anyone know what the problem could be?

try reconnecting the wires, if possible cleaing the connection ends.
