Problems connecting...
Right, i have 3 programs that i can not connect to, first one is my email (cant connect using outlook and thunderbird) but i CAN use my ISP's webmail.
i cannot connect to Xfire and i cannot connect to Warhammer online closed beta servers, even tho i'm in the beta program. i've tried to contact my ISP support to try and see if they can help, they asked if they could remote access to see if they could find the issue, and it turned out that SOMETHING is blocking that from happening. i cant see anything being blocked that shouldn't be on either my antivirur nor my firewall.... anyone having even a remote clue what the hell is going on? part from a load of M$ updates last night and a warhammer patch today there hasent been anything else uppdated. everything bar Xfire could connect all day untill about ~5 hours ago.

**NVCPL as above could be a few things. if you have Nvidia graphics card then you should be fine. If you don't, get it checked out. Other then that, i see nothing wrong on start up. Infact, seems very well kept. |

Sry reinstalling my puters so only glancing here when ever am downloading stuff.
Errr am drawn here to a firewall issue or winsock/tcp/ip problems. Have you tried uninstalling the firewalls, rebooting and checking connection ? sometimes when you turn them off they lie!. You could also see if tcp/ip or LSP winsock have any issues, but this area isn't something I'd recommend lightly. Screwing with winsock can totaly screw ya connection. Netsh can be used to reset ya tcp/ip to default settings. (sp2+) Might be somewhere to start. knowledge base on netsh ip reseting ***read it before you attempt to play*** I would go with the firewall removal, reboot and check before i do anything with the other stuff tho. |

You have an ethernet cable going straight in to your wall socket? I know sod all about Swedish broadband so this could be a little tricky.
Do you have any spare machines you can use to test your email or something? Reinstalling is a bit dramatic, I'm sure there's an alternative solution. Plus, it could be your net provider rather than anything wrong with your pc. |
