IS there any way to get hold of 1.1 without having legal copy?

I've been trying to get some people together to play online with this but no-one wants to commit the time to it lol

From just the skirmish games I'm assuming it's 10+ hours for a standard game.

Love the game though, tempted to stick it on the other computer and play while I'm grinding in WAR

Hiya Usp

Aye, its a great wee game and also you're right - too long for the average casual game. You could possibly do a 1v1 in an evening but much more than that and you're looking at something regular.

I've got a little personal project atm. I'm going to see if I can virtualise Master of Orion 2 and share it up - leave it running in the corner like a chess set, so I can play with friends over a period of months. Friends log in to my server, take their turn, then go back about whatever else they are up to. Like play by mail without the email. Again, its another game that cannot be played quickly, but its such a rewarding game to play.

Aye, MOO2 was great, wasn't too fond of the other versions

One of my friends has Sins so I'll try a 1v1 when he gets back from doing something stupid (getting married or something lol).

Agreed. I'd love if someone did a MoO2 mod for Sins. I don't really have the talent for such things. There was talk a long time ago of Stardock writing a Master of Orion game but nothing ever came of it. Shame really as I didn't like the Galactic Civilisations games despite trying really hard. They just couldn't hold my interest.

I don't think online games takes "much" more than 2-3 hours, 1v1. Guess it depends on how much each player turtle or if they will attack fast tho

Atm i'm playing a solo skirmish, 3 solar systems. Almost cleaned out half of the first one now. 4.5 hours

To bad it feels so imbalanced. I don't see any reason at all to play anything else than Vasari on big maps and Advent on smaller maps. TEC is totally lost in this game imo
