Does anyone play Q3 Excessive here?

Not for quiet a while. I did look a few weeks ago on ASE for a server, but couldn't see any populated ones. Always was a good laf mod tho ... clanmates and I used to play it when it first came out .... the shotgun used to make me lol
I only play osp ctf now really ... cos I don't enjoy it unless there's some added factor beyond the 'kill or be killed' thing tbh.

We used to turn it on quite often in RA3 practises, good laugh rocket-training yourself around.

Excessive has come along way since the old days. Excessive is so fast that you have to good control of the mouse and keyboard. Some Qauke players from the real ctf could not handle the fast pace of excessive. If you were in lates say q3ctf1 at your base flag and cap the other team flag in 10-8 secs. Now try killing a play that moves so fast. LoL You have to admit Excessive is intense that it makes your heart pump fast.

It was a nightmare map with massive team size and I think a lot was riding on that match for us!

How are you doing now? What are you up to these days?

I stopped playing about 1 year ago and now don't have much time due to study. I am sure if there was a good multiplayer CTF type new game out it would be very hard to resist.

Yeah that's right, it was 6v6 back then I think, hahah how mental
I had about 18 months of no q3 at all ... and now I get to play about once a fortnight or so. You know, work, study, etc. Real life really gets in the way sometimes!
I played a little of the Tribes: Vengeance beta. I quite enjoyed it and could play it more often if I had the time ........ but yeah, if a new quake came out with ctf half as good as q3, I think I'd be back to playing 10pm-2am every night and feeling very tired at work each day heheheh
