Crash to desktop.

Last week I re-installed XP Pro SP2, stuffed HL2 and CS Source on there and started playing CS:S.

Now it seems that after about 15mins on a source server I crash back to the desktop, but with no errors shown. I can reconnect again straight away, but only last about 15-20 mins again.

Any ideas?

System is:
P4 2.8
512 Crucial DDR3200
Aopen FX5950 Ultra running the 71.24 forceware drivers

Any ideas?

I wondered about the drivers, but there are no problems with HL2 or when playing CZ.....so Im doubtful. I'll have a scoot around the maze that is the Steam forums though, cheers.

It might be a corrupt game file. Try deleting the .gcf file for the game, and allowing Steam to download it.

Well, Ive tried deleteing the .gcf files, Ive searched around and there was a Steam note that the Source cache files may need validating, done that.
I also found a post on the Steam forums about a memory fix, tried that.
Ive downgraded my graphics drivers to 66.93, no good.
My cpu sits at 38C, my case is 28C.

Im still crashing to desktop, no errors, no blue screens, no messages or anything, after about 10minutes of play.

Buggers

Ive sorted it.

I uninstalled HL2 and removed every trace of Source from my steam directory, then reinstalled and let Steam update.

Everything seems to work now, so Im guessing that my steam back-up was corrupt somehow.
