CSS Useage Question.

Hi fellow CSS nerds.

Plusnet is my ISP and I have a monthly useage limit. After playing CSS(at the most for 1 and a half - 2 hours) it says on my useage chart that gaming(CSS is all I play) has used around 70mb per night. I play on the same servers meaning I am not downloading any maps or sounds or graphics etc.

Imo this is total bollocks.

Can some of you check how much playing CSS uses up for you in mb's?

IIRC CS uses about 4-5k per second in total. I think its about 2.5k in and 1.5k out. So at a very crude calculation its about 18mb an hour.

CSS is actually quite a lot more than that. In the region of 10-12k in on a 100 tick server for example.

Download a bandwidth monitor, switch it on while you're playing CS. I can't recommend any, I've never used one.

Or do you have the modem connection in your taskbar?

I've just noticed mine, apparently I've been connected 37 minutes and 14 seconds & recieved 11mb.

Heh, I could watch this all day... I think I might... 38 minutes ...
