Help-Housing thing

After not playing for very long, I was surprised to see that I still have a house. Must have sold quite alot.
Now that I´m able to pay "normally", I bought alot of bounty point gold to pay with. And as always you just take them from your inventory and drop them on your house.. But...
A window opens with no text in it apart fro 2 buttons, 1. Accept 2. Decline.
Problem occurs when you try ti click accept or decline for that matter...It seems unclickable and the window keeps staying open until you relog.
I tried with normal gold, same thing:-(

Has anyone had this before and how did you solve it?

1. perhaps you bought a too big bounty point gold .
e.g.
If you have a 1p house (20g per week, max 80g) you can't put in a 100KG-Coin...

2. Did you change the Client to german? There are some problems with the english Client on a german Cluster.

3. You can try to pay the rent for you house with /-Commands.

If you're only playing classic you don't need to make a backup of the daoc folder btw.

Change the client default language
For players who want to play on classic servers, here is a tip to help you avoid a certain amount of bugs. The Salisbury/Glastonbury cluster is currently in German, which can cause a few problems when you connect with a client of a different language. The most common bugs are : the inability to climb keep walls, to answer private messages and to pay your rent for example.


To start with, we advise you to change the default language of your current client. This is very easy to do and it solves all the bugs.


Copy your Dark Age of Camelot folder (3.8 GB minimum of available disk space is required). This will enable you to keep an install of the game in the original language. If you have many screenshots in this folder, you don't need to copy them. It is also possible to proceed without copying the folder but you will have to patch language updates every time you change the language.


In the new folder, delete the 'language' folder then edit the 'update.dat' file via a text editor (such as Notepad).


If you play on Darkness Rising, change the lines into :

patch.camelot-europe.com :1280/updates/german/darkness/mpatch.dat patch.camelot-europe.com :1280/updates/german/darkness/mpatch.dat


If you play on Catacombs, change the lines into :


Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com :1280/updates/german/catacombs/mpatch.dat patch.camelot-europe.com :1280/updates/german/catacombs/mpatch.dat


If you play on Trial of Atlantis, change the lines into :


Mythic Patch

Make sure there are no extra spaces at the end of each line.


Save changes and launch "camelot.exe" file from the new folder. The game will check the files and will start the update.


Here you go. Now you are ready to fight your new opponents !

The third option above is the simplest though matey. Just do /bountyrent personal <amount> - works in any client.

only one minor problem, It seems I cannot connect to the update server of darkness rising (error 201).
either that particular server is shut down or the lines provided are incorrect:-(

Dunno I didn't actually do what it says to do in the Friday news (like above) I just changed "english" to "german"....

Looks like there's a nice little syntax error on their news (see the extra spaces in the code after the .com? As well as being one continual line too :S)

Just make it look like the top one and it should be fine.

again thanks, but that wasn´t the problem.

the problem was nwhen I copy-pasted the lines I got this in the update.dat:

so I deleted the "ø" thinking its was some sorta mistake that I didnt unerstand....it wasn´t a mistake, apparantly it only works with the "ø"....completely weird
