Glastonbury Population

As Glastonbury's population becomes increasingly less viable (e.g. difficult to RvR effectively and almost impossible to PvE certain classes to 50 without a bot due to lack of grouping), what do you think the future holds for this server?

It seems to me clustering with another EU server is highly unlikely for obvious reasons...

Any guesses, comments or sugestions?

Personally i believe daoc has gone in england, and no chance of revival however, the servers in usa are still good , with population of up to 3k on the classic cluster.

i'll admit i was nervous about switching to us servers, as i was expecting a lot of immature players there ( my own experience from freeshards) but i guess i was steriotypical because i have found guilds as mature as some over here, well, as the toa servers here, i never bothered with classic here, 300 players? no thanks.....

but as i was saying, there are some immature players there who /rofl spam you after zerging you, and nearly all casters lag cast, but imo its still a lot of fun, even as a reaver i found myself getting a lot of groups, and now as a 39 shadowblade i hope to be able to kill a lot of lagcasters

so basically if i were you i'd join the US servers, i'd happily welcome you, as long as you dont make a hib =) midgard ftw

P.S there is also double exp going on atm in US servers, atm its at classic zones, but as all the servers are down as i speak for the minotaur of the labyrinth 1.86 patch, i think the double exp is moving to SI zones, can't complain

after getting so fed up with spending hours looking for a solo fight on glast i decided to trial the us acc and lastnight i paid for the us version it was 16 quid for every expansion including minotaur so wasnt too bad plus the added bonus of double exp in SI means lvling wont be a timeconsuming task at all. who all showed 800 in alb when i logd off. was 2700 on server, reason im alb is because i was mid on glast so wanted a change.

i will be sad to leave 11 lvl50s behind and a eldar title but its worth it for the thought of a busy classic where i can still have fun...

it boild down to the thought that minotaur expansion will be 20 quid here but no one to play against on glast, or go to us and join 3000+ people with the addded thing being the cost i paid 16 quid for every expansion including minatour. so i though bugger it im there.
lastnight i spoke to several nice people so if there are arseholes there there are nice peps too.

I'm on Mid/Gareth, moved for the same reasons as you and not regretting it. Remember you can play any/all realms on the cluster I think, not just Alb so say hello at some point!

Nothing gonna happen to the server,as long as they keep up spanish server which has about the same amount of ppl as glast in the evening,they,ll keep glast as it is,they said clustering with german server its impossible so that prolly wont happen.
All we can hope is that new ppl from cluster will come to classic and some of the ppl who left will come back so the population will get up to around 200 at prime time which is imo the minimum amount of ppl u need on a server for things to run smooth both pve and pvp.
What goa needs to do its to advertise daoc,in order to draw in more new players couse most daoc players, playing for over 2-3 years and its normal they got bored of the game.
Lets hope with the money they get from warhammer and Ea they,ll be able to do some real advertising for daoc which is still with all its problems 1 of the best mmos on the market.

I think the major flaw with glastonbury was not giving the french their own classic server. They were polled like everyone else, said they didn't want one then took glastonbury over, now even they seem to have moved on, but not before driving the english speaking population out.

A few months when the population was still fairly high it was impossible to find an english speaking BG let alone an english speaking group on glastonbury.

It seems to me that the server is in it's final death throws. Real shame for lazy sods like me who simply can't be bothered with the ML grind any more.

I would say Glast is now unplayable RvR wise apart from an hour or so in the evening, and if you can't RvR, whats the point?

Looks like the US servers are the only real alternative, and thats if you can be bothered to start all over again.

As far as I know, its RS (english speaking guild) and some stray people from other guilds (random nationality) in Albion. 1 Italien guild (Stick n' Rel) that normaly can feald a gg + some stray stealthers in Hib (Hib has the last week been abel to get 2 fg+ in RvR at atleast some days)... What I seen in Mid has been, lately, 1 WL and 2-3 SB's.

Im Playing Alb (in Red Shadows) and not planing to move.

Yep, Stick'n Rel still roaming around, no plan of moving elsewhere.

Imho it's time to pay a visit back to Glast, no more zergers around (u can trust me, ya know? ), just grab some friends with u (seven at most, no more plz) and try a look.

We roam in the evening, from 5:00 CET 'til we fall asleep on keyboard, and we try to get far from keeps/towers as long as we can, we get no fun cutting down TP's from albs and mids.

yeah, we try to open port to hib and mid as well as we are abel to for more insta pvp... realy a shame that we so badly need sorcs and clerics (so, If someone reads this pleas log on Glaston, I can allmost promessing you will get so mutch RvR you can digest (or to Stick N' Rel falls asleep ;D )

ofcoz, would be fun to see some more Mids aswell... Im starting to where out my target with all the "Celt" ... Need to have a "Troll" or "Dwarf" to clean it up a bit

We all knows its not good, some people just like the classic consept so mutch that we rather stay and fight for it as loging in and beeing there is like showing others they can too.

So, pleas mate, dont piss on peoples legs just becose you left and they wants to stay.
