Actually you can still use Darkspire to search for DS items. Just checked on the off chance and it works even tho the names are all german now.

you can search for DS items this way:

All Items start with the word: "schurkisch"
so there is no "Ü", "Ä", "Ö" or "ß" you need to search for.

Would it be possible for Requiel or some other GOA employee to post on here a brief list of german to english translations they have used, for the most common items?

The reason I ask this is that I have just gone to the market explorer and found most of it's in german. I can still use the English translations on glast ME but not on the Salisbury one. I can also babel fish a lot of it but most of the stuff is high fantasy and so that website has no idea what the translation is. e.g. i saw a nice sword called 'basaltschwert nichts' so I babel fished it and got the reply 'basalt sword nothing'. The stats I can kinda work out, but I do get the odd one that throws me e.g. geschick is fate according to babel fish.

It would be useful to also have the most commonly used phrases etc in one place for a reference tbh. Just stuff like stats, realm ranks, classes, ingredient names for crafting, crafted items, potion names, names of common items used in templates i.e. DS stuff, aurulite, DF seal names, melee styles names, spell names etc etc

Dear Ste, most , not all, of the problems will be solved if you bother to change the update.dat, cause then you dont have to read , for crafting as example, just to compare.
A few translations you asked for i give here:

Thx for the list. I have already changed the update.dat (I play an infil so no choice in the matter tbh) but that doesn't help me when I need to craft some more haste potions for example as i don't know what the haste postions are called in German. Hence me asking for the list. Also if I use an english client I get english named potions and english ingredients, but the handlers (see im getting used to it :P) only speak german, hence all the components are german

Atm, I load up the english client, put all the potions i need on my QB, copy my alchemists character ini file to the second folder for Daoc that i have (which is a german client due to me changing update.dat) and then I can buy the ingredients I need as their both listed as german when i delve the recipy and listed as german on the handler.

p.s. Any chance you could supply a list of realm ranks pls? I was killing loads last night but as far as I know they may have all been RR1 :P
