Always read the small print...
Fucking Audi. When I go to Ireland they won't let me take my car (its a lease). Fair enough, but if I give the car up, the redemption fee for my lease is...10 grand! So I'm stuck with a car I can't take with me but I also can't afford to give up! Answers on a postcard please...

What if it got stolen before you went, or pranged or something?
Can you transfer the lease to another driver? What the hell kind of shiny mobile are you driving that has a ten grand redemption fee? It better actively release pheremones and melt underwear.

Try the moneysavingexpert forums, maybe someone there can help.
Unfortunately 10 grand may sound a lot, but just imagine how that relates to the depreciation they will suffer.

No I'd say you were the twat who keeps sticking his oar into subjects he doesn't have a fucking clue about. You do know, that a lot of the time it is better not to hit "Post Reply" and keep your thoughts to yourself?

Of course none of this matters to you because you're capable of 24x7 foresight so you can sit in judgement on the rest of us from whatever fetid little hole in the ground you live in; after all, I assume you don't live in a place with a mortgage, because you wouldn't live anywhere you couldn't afford to buy outright? Right? |

Gaffer, I assume you have tried to see if they have offices abroad, the lease might be transferrable. If not do you have a family member of friend who would want to take it over, or someone who works for the same company as you and might have their lease up for renewal.
Chilly, this is what happens when wikipedia gives you the wrong information. Thousands of people a damn site richer than anyone on these forums lease cars for business purposes becauses its economical. Or in an easy-to-read format. You + This Thread = Fail.

Not that I know much about this having not seen your agreement or purchased a vehicle in this way, but is there some reason why you can't change lease company?
Otherwise surely you can finance it some other way for tax purposes, like a bank loan?
