Hehe it used to be the other way around with me.. my husband quit Daoc months ago but he's finally come back
I don't really know what to think yet about ToA. Mythic makes it sound like getting the artifacts will be primarily a group effort... which is so refreshing to me tbh. I only hope it's not a lie
Regarding the time investment, I hate to say it but I think that many people who just occassionally play will be at a huge disadvantage and will really feel left out of the mainstream RVR wise if nothing else. But if you're interested in social aspects of the game and story more than just reaching the 'goals' you should be fine. Just don't set your expectations too high and you won't be fed up and depressed as a result of something much more important to your future... aka real life

The lengths some people go to be the best makes it much more than just a game of course... but that doesn't mean you have to force yourself to follow suit. Just do what you enjoy
