BD's should not be allowed to Quickcast pets, neither should theug. Old SI loot. SI zones. SI classes. Old frontiers, old keeps. Think they can even use the current RA's, the rr5s will just make things more interesting. They should lower the CC duration, and the effect of determination. But they need to make sure they don't lower CCs in a way that it is gone after 10 seconds, a zerg should be vulnerable to something, CC is the only thing that will give you the upper hand. Obviously "skills" has to be able to match "nummbers" in a game, else there is no incentive other then to zerg, wich in the end will result in status quo. I honestly think Mythic are incapable of making this happend ![]() The bullshit with higher levels not beeing able to attack low levels is laughable. Not like anyone put a gun to the lvl 11 minstrels head and made him go Emain. That need to go if anything lol ![]() /edit, Also the Porting times need to be no longer then 5 mins. No porting time at all might lead to nonestop clusters around the portal keeps wich makes for zergs and tag/follow groups, wich might become very frustrating. /edit2, Zergs are fine, but the game should not be coded or made in such a manner that zergs is the result of normal playing. If you want to zerg you make an active decsision to do so, and if not you make an active decision to not. Freedome of choice is the key in MMOs imo.

It's sounding more and more like classic, a server thats going to be 'just like it was back in the day'...
"except we're going to change x, y and z" Fact is with valks, no theurgists, different CC, different buffing system, New frontiers RAs, RR5 abilities, a new anti greif system, lowbie zones in the frontiers and whatever else they're planning on adding its going to be nothing like 'the good old days'. Like someone said before, just reroll a server to patch 1.68 or something and stop messing around with little additions here and there to try 'spice' things up. Or even better, just delete new frontiers from the Classic server and revert to the old frontier then leave it at that... The only issue I have with NF is the fact it is FAR too big for the low population. (As well as the insta ports which mean no one actually runs anywhere any more) That being said, me and my friends are going to be running a hib group with 2 casters 3 tanks, mainly depending if heros keep their new tank abilities. Probably use Eld + chanter, but are considering using mana chanter + light chanter/ment. We ran a ment on merlin and it was good having the extra demez in group, but the charm was annoying when the pets turned on us.. Yea but with supply line ports and towers, people tend to roam in more areas than pre NF spreading out the population..At least on the cluster I play on, can't speak for Dyvet, I'm sure all 30 of them are having a blast
![]() With only 1 portal keep for each realm in the frontier, people would tend to stick to certain zones/areas which would make more sense for todays small population, NF probably would have been great if each server was still rocking 3000+ primetime. I played freeshards a bit and it's not really the nostalgia of old emain I miss, it's the idea of forcing everyone into fewer zones, and not allowing people to travel entire frontiers with boats/porting from keep to keep Reno, 1.64/1.65 then... But I think you get the point.

its quite possible there will be no english origin server on eu.
german and french population is alot bigger. there was an english classic server, quite irritating for the french, which ended in becoming clustered with the german. there will be the us option, but of suck. a big zerg fest amg - bowl - mmg. imo only further clustering and new frontier zones (a much bigger agramon isle) can be a step forward at the current state of game

I agree with Daniel Jackson! Too much wierd crap. Adding and taking away key classes for a groups composition, makes no sense to me. Bonedancers where not OPed in SI times, they were a strong and annoying class, thats it. ( this is after the tweaks and nerf to lifetap in 1.65, also incl savage quad and 2h nerf ). They could also make sure bds + theugs wich are strong interrupt classes cant just quickcast new pets to balance things out and make positioning more of a factor. Tbh the RvR balance just after the savage nerf pre toa was quite close to perfect, still needed a few tweaks here n there but it was damn close to beeing excellent gameplay, both pve and rvr. Think all these gaming companies put to much effort in making up and introducing new stuff when people actually want balance, the core of the games are the mmo / rp atmosphere and the pvp. Nummber one in PvP is fairness and balance based on the idea that nummberings and skills should have equal chance to succeed given the situation. Ah well I'm having my fingers crossed. Tbh, no game got as close as DAoC was at that time nor WoW or AoC is there and will probably take AoC a year(s) to get there as it looks now. |
