Making german language servers english language?
I heard of something not so long back, is it possible?

It's possible but if you do this you cannot climb walls anymore and you can't reply to PMs anymore (don't ask why not I don't know but for some reason it seems to work like that).
Don't know the exact files you need to change to do that but it's possible could probably ask it on Right now or someone who does know which files to change will probably point them out.

how do u want to change _server_ language ? If u find out how to do that, could u switch exca/pry to pvp mode for a few hours as well ?

You can however change ur clients language if its not yet english by editing the update.dat file in ur daoc folder and deleting the language dir

How to change your client from French/German to English:

1. Browse into your game directory.
2. Find the file update.dat.
3. Right-click and select open with... editor
4. Change the following lines from
Quote:
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/<your language>/darkness/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/<your language>/darkness/mpatch.dat
to
Quote:
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/darkness/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/darkness/mpatch.dat
5. Safe and close the file.
6. Find the folder called language.
7. Delete it.
8. Launch the patcher and it will now patch your client to english.


Edit: Instead of
Quote:
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/<your language>/darkness/mpatch.dat
you might have
Quote:
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/<your language>/atlantis/mpatch.dat
or
Quote:
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/<your language>/catacombs/mpatch.dat
in the file. Do not change atlantis/catacombs to darkness unless you want to download the Darkness Rising client.
