Its a chinese sky lantern and though I seem to be just following the pack I had already made my mind up before I read that far

For some reason we get em quite a lot around here and not just on some chinese holiday so recognising them is becoming 2nd nature.

normally theyre like big paper things with a flame in the middle. i guess at some point hte paper gets set alight so it could be quite bright!!
