Worst episode ever.
Oooh - for no apparent reason Donna can now flick a switch and turn all the Daleks into Frank Spencer. All that build-up and zero delivery. Utter nobrind.

Agree with Wij.
RTD seems to be good at pulling a great plot together, and then has no idea as to how to tag a good ending on and just messes it up. Always feels there is something missing.

I don't think it was a bad story line, but it did feel a bit rushed - too much going on in a very short period of time. The story could have done with a third episode so the plot could have been explained better.

TBH I'm in agreement with Wijlet. It was a complete Deus Ex Machina.
The Stolen Earth was a fantastic build up, and Journey's End has two words to describe it: Cop Out. Seriously. The whole "one companion will die" thing? He did that at the end of the second season with Rose, where she "died", and did exactly the same sort of thing here. I'd have had more respect for him if he'd actually killed Donna off, but instead it's just her memories he kills. Pfft. |

Yeah the ending with the daleks felt a bit cheap, but leaving the doctor on his own with everyone but him happy was a nice way to end up.

i dont see the problem i mean davros even says a time lord without a weapon is still a dangerous thing hence the force field cell hes put into look at the power the daleks had at their disposal now imagine it in the hands of a timelord not as far fetched now is it as far as the daleks know the doctor is the last time lord and davros had assumed hed killed donna
have to remember the time lords were the equal of the daleks if not better not killing a companion was a bit of a cop out but we did lose 2 companions we lost rose we probably wont hear from her again and donna is gone for good |
