Unreal Tournament

did anyone get unreal tournament 3(?) for ps3? i got to the stage on cod4 where it wasn't fun to play anymore as i hit max level and there was no way to matchup against decent people, was boring beating noobs and just winning easy.

really liked older unreal games, lookin for some fun onlineeeeeeeeeeeeee

it has sold well on ps3, on pc the sales bombed. its ok playable but when the devs make a big deal about what could happed with mod community you know theres a problem, epic pissed alot of peeps off when ut 2004 came out

i have and think its great, if you played the first one you'll love it since its pretty much the same but heavily enhanced and with several extra features. it even has lots of the same revamped maps as the original

yeah i got this yday, it's really good fun.. though definatly not worth the £42.99 i paid for it (return incoming) ..gfx are decent, but it's so damn laggy online, almost on every server ive played on which totally ruins it didn't bother with single player, it's basically just showing you how to play online

I got it and traded it in 2 days later the game is just UT2004 with better graphics and a few new toys to play with.

The game in my opinion isn't a patch on todays FPS multiplayer such as COD4/GOW/RB6/GR.

The servers aren't great either because people with 2mb connections think they can host huge player matches which just turn into a lag fest.

Best advice?

Stick with COD4 or get the new RB6.

However if you feel like you just have to play it rent it first.

I dunno why Epic keep messing with UT, the original UT is still the best and if I could find my disc I would re-install it and keep playing it to death, The Style the gameplay the music all are so great, yet when you look at UT3 you think 'its a nice game but its no UT '99'

Ah well no doubt Epic will keep trying and maybe they will get it right one day, mainly all I am asking for is the original rocket launcher from UT and no damm cars, tanks or flying machines.

Spot on. I love the original UT. (I was much better at it than any Quake variant for a kickoff). UT2004 was shit and I can't be arsed with this one. I really do need to learn how to play FPS games with a controller at some point though...

no you do not, playing an fps with a controller is like trying to catch fish with a bag instead of a rod.......

fps = kb and mouse != gay arsed controller


until they make an 8 axis mouse and a kb i aint playing an fps on a console

It really isn't that hard to play with a control pad but if your a tard then you will have problems.

Sounds to me like you tried FPS gaming with a control pad but got pooned online so much that you refuse to do it again because of the nightmares that kept you awake last time.

if you're bad with control pad you probably aren't that great online either, i was poop at first when i used pad, but i'm really quite good now, can aim fast etc

true all you need to "orientate" your self is some extra time on the sp side of an fps game and perhaps 20 or so on line games.

anyways it would be nice if they all included a kb an mouse option whould kill argument like these dead
