Just back from my mates house where we played a few hours of multiplayer, here are my thoughts :

Dual weilding weapons, nice touch but slightly confusing with the X to replace or Y to dual weild. Confusing with using both triggers to fire, but makes sence. Nice covenent alternative to the weapons. Force Sword is sweeeet, love the lunges. REALLY like the amount of customization you can stick into it when you make your profile. The maps are nice and big. Still some old favourites - Blood Gulch - cant go wrong with that map

so what you all think of it?

p.s i felt so sad going into gamestation with all the geeks to get the game, and i wasn't even buying it - i went with mates who were getting it. Overheard some guys saying "apparantly the ending is shit" and also "noooo must not look at teasers on the shop tv's need to savour the moment when i first watch it".

Sorry Brynn but U don't need the spolier tags as everybody whos been following Halo 2 kinda knows that stuff anyway.

Mind you I love going into the highstreet stores and seeing all the plebs going all look at Halo 2 I didn't even know it was coming out, we must among the first people to ever see this game.

Back on topic (sarky **** leggy ) -

Balls to SP. MP really is fun, played CTF for 3 hours (whilst at work, natch) with colleagues then on XBL. Very smooth gameplay, fully approve of bungie.net gubbins too.

I might be old school or a lazy **** but I havent bothered with dual wield at all.

I'll be on tonight, the gf wants to take the piss so might join as a guest.

I am not that impressed in SP so far. Got a few levels in...and now I am quite tempted to stop playing it.

Single player - average

Multiplayer - not a patch on PC gaming. In fact, I would go as far as to say if this was on a PC it would get about 60%.

~6 hours or something on single player. Was good while it lasted. Multiplayer rocks.

Ending does suck though.

I urge you all to try some organized MP. I've played quite a few skirmishes which were ok, but an 8v8 90 minute CTF match with some folks from another forum I frequent was unreal. Haven't had as much fun in aaages (and this is from someone who detests the thought of an FPS on a control pad )
