Hello ppl
Well im coming from daoc, i was Fanta there (lvl 50 cleric etc...) in alb/exc, and im joining FFXI , what server should i pick? Im spanish and i was told ragnarok were their server but i dont know if there are any english because i dont want to play with japs all day...
Plzz answer meeh  ah, what class should i be? i was thinking on bard or warrior (or maybe Red mague..)thanks in advance

st showed me.. he almost convinced me to start up ffxi again, as a bard/whm then he told me/showed me what a bard does. redmage actually looks quite fun, cause you can really tell if someone is good at it

I'm a 32 Bard and loving it so far. Yeah it's a bit boring before 25 because there's not much to do, but as soon as you get Mages Ballad you're everybody's best friend, and always busy in groups. My opinion anyways.
Depends what on what you like to do in groups. If you wanna be a tank and take agro and sit there and whack things, then Bard isn't for you. But if you like to play a support class, constantly running around, buffing, helping to heal, reducing down time for faster chains, then this is it. However, I sub Red Mage at the moment because I find White Mage so utterly boring I can't be bothered to level it past 7. Also gives me a little variety if I want to cast something other than Dia, and I can still heal efficiently.

well in daoc i always liked healer and bard best
but one thing really puts me off playing again, in fact if it wasnt for this reason i would probably play it, i cant stay logged into a game like that without being able to use irc/icq/msn etc.. just so GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

bard does seem really boring to me (2 songs, move, 2 songs, hit the thing a few times, move, 2 songs.......) but then, anything other than RDM for me is boring. I quite enjoyed my thf in valkurm but only got that to 16

most of us are on bismarck, if you want a worldpass post on here and I'll buy one.
Job really doesnt matter to start with. If you want to do all jobs pick mithran imo. Good melee ( Better than hume ) and great for ranger/ninja/thief and only a very small amount less mp than hume.

well finally i will go to ragnarok (i think) and i will be WHM/BLM going to summoner, dont know if that's good , expensive or cheap but I like it
 I was cleric in daoc and healer here ffs  btw  to all who answered meh hehe
