EQ2 in easy terms.. for a nub.

I have a few questions, I have never played EQ before but I browsed a bit about the game
and it looks interesting so I have a few questions hope someone will take the time to answer them.


1) Is there a level cap?, I keep hearing EQ = evergrind etc, why does ppl say that?

2) Whats this about evil, good and neutral races?, what are the pros/cons of eatch?
can't you group with an "evil" player if you are tagged as "good"? and where does "neutral" come into all of this do they get all of the pros and none of the cons or?

3) What are the most group friendly classes in this game?, best buffer, best cc, best healer, best debuffer etc?

4) Whats the system req for playing eq2?

5) is there a class with movement enhanzing skills? ^^

Yes level 50, BUT the game is designed to be upto level 200, so expect many many expansions.

No cons other than if your an evil race you get treated like gutterslime constantly while if your a good race people love you. Works quite well makes evil seem like it should.

There is no neutral as alliance is all based on what city you call home and there is only the evil Freeport and the good Qeynos. You can group with anyone i believe but why would you want to group with those pansies the Qeynosians is beyond me.

All. Game is all about grouping every class has its place. Altough always need a healer.

High - 64Mb Graphics card, 512 Mb ram, 6 GB space on Hard Drive and 1 Ghz processor. Really though look for a 2Ghz + processor and 1 Gb ram as acceptable.

Pass on that one. Only been playing 2 days but I assume the shaman has one or 2.

what i wanna know is how do i train my weapons? like in daoc you trained and got styles. all i can see at the mo is when i level i get an ability. i dont class an ability as a weapon skill or "style". maybe i missed somerthing obvious or maybe thats all you get. if so

As Ukle already said - really ensure you have 1 gig ram and fast cpu. The "lag" is different that daoc - where things tend to stutter as they get loaded. In EQ2, it seems to be much more consistent throughout a zone. I was (pleasantly) surprised how well it runs on my old tub - AMD Athlon 2600+, 1 gig ram and radeon 9800 pro. I'm guestimating the framerate to be somewhere in the 20s - which is a little lower than I'd like (I'm playing on high performance settings) - but its certainly playable.

5) is there a class with movement enhanzing skills? ^^

Yes - my little Scout got a "pathfinding" abililty fairly early on - level 3 or 4 IIRC which is a movememt boost. I gather druids and shamans also get something.

You get melee abilities or other abilitities when u lvl .. i got wild slash a melee abilitie /style as a fighter can also pull of heroic acts or combos if u prefer for extra dmg
