Anyone feeling another SWG? ie server downtimes?

Jeez i get the game today after thinking what the hell the game deserves a shot and i go to log in all servers down apprently for 4 hours?!?!!

SWG was famed for this crap servers down for 2-3 even 5 hours aday and the fact we have no based EURO server means the downtime is in our play time.. but for the yanks they are sound asleep in bed knowing that when they wake up to play the servers are up..

Now i remember one of the reasons why i quit SWG coz of this bs.. its just unacceptable

first off this 4 hours is a one off

secondly give them a chance, the BETA was very short compared to other mmorpgs and so theres bound to be a few problems for a few weeks. its only been out a week hehe.

im pissed too cos i havent even been able to save my char name yet

but i guess we just have to wait

all id say is give em a chance but leta hope it wont be like SWG cos i hear that they took the piss a bit on that.

Took the piss? thats understatment every frikking day servers down for like 2-3 hours which was about 12pm uk time..

Well we all know why the beta was short now dont we? we have this crap to put up with for along time i can garuntee it. should have guessed it when they did'nt have an open beta for the game that always means bad news.

Were in for a rough ride for this first free month of beta testing..

1. Its release week, so expect the servers to be down everyday
2. This is SoE they always patch at the same time namely 2-4 am PST.
3. It is having no impact to anyone in Europe but you students who should be studying and not playing EQ2

Im not a student i have work at 4.30pm so this downtime takes up the majority of my play time..

dont defend the game or the company they have a track record for bs like this

i am not a student...i am a shift worker...it will effect me.
i am pretty damn sure i am not the only working person who will be screwed by the timing of the server downtimes.
its a bit lame to assume that anyone playing during the day is a student.

we are playing on US server. Thus the server downtime will be according whats best for US residents.

Now that's some stupid argueing. There *ARE* Euro servers, but just for french & german speakers.

Why they scrapped an English Euro server at the last moment ?
Because SOE figured out it's cheaper to stick 'em with the American English.

tris did you play SWG? coz in all new SOE games they take the servers down for like 2-4 hours each day for so called fixed and clean ups 4 hours? just complete shit

11 hours difference with Pacific coast here. So 2-4 am in USA equals 13-15 here in Moscow, since i work 9-18 i wont be affected unless its a weekend.

Dont be whiny from the very start, just enjoy the bloody game (less "i am paying mullah for this piece of crap" yada yada).

yeh, i can enjoy the game, when i goto work at 2.30>11pm. the servers are down before, and after that i can play 2 hours before i collapse from being tired.
aada, i played SWG for ages, i sort of remember the servers going down, but back then i was a bum so it didnt matter :/
